Trump used his speech to continue his relentless campaign to reshape the nation's economic, immigration, and foreign policy landscape, per the outlet.

Moreover, he also pushed for the policies he pledged to implement during his election campaign and his early return to office.

This was the vice president's second slip-up in just two days. On Tuesday, March 4, he was condemned for mocking the UK and France’s military might during an interview with Fox News, according to the Irish Star.

Vance called for Ukraine to accept Trump’s plans for a peace deal, which could favor Russia, when he seemed to insult some of the US' closest allies, per the outlet.

Vance said, "If you want real security guarantees, if you want to actually ensure that Vladimir Putin does not invade Ukraine again, the very best security guarantee is to give Americans economic upside in the future of Ukraine."

He continued, "That is a way better security guarantee than 20,000 troops from some random country that hasn't fought a war in 30 or 40 years."

However, he later backtracked and claimed he did not mention the UK or France and added that his comments were not aimed at either nation.
