Donald Trump trolled as he reveals Biden's call and his stretcher refusal after assassination attempt
WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump recently shared details of a phone conversation with President Joe Biden that took place shortly after he survived an assassination attempt at his Pennsylvania campaign rally.
In an interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters, Trump, 78, recounted Biden's words, "He said, 'You’re lucky you turned to the right,'" as reported by the New York Post.
The 81-year-old President's remark came after Trump narrowly escaped death on July 13 when he turned his head to look at a chart just as 20-year-old Thomas Crooks opened fire during the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Donald Trump recounts 'nice conversation' with Joe Biden after assassination attempt
Despite the gravity of the situation, Donald Trump described his chat with Joe Biden as a "nice conversation."
The interview, taped on Saturday, July 20, and aired on Monday, July 22, also revealed that Trump refused to be carried off the stage on a stretcher, despite the bullet grazing his ear.
"They wanted to put me on a stretcher. They had a stretcher, and they wanted to put me on a stretcher. And I said, 'I’m not going on a stretcher,'" Trump revealed.
According to Trump, the Secret Service agents who rushed to his aid initially thought he was hit in the abdomen. "I just felt it was the ear," he explained, justifying his refusal to be placed on a stretcher.
He admitted there was "a lot of blood" that might have alarmed the agents. This led to a "little argument" while the agents were "lying on top of me." Trump recounted, "I said, 'I’m telling you, I’m OK. I’m fine. I’m going to get up. I want to get up. I’m not going to be taken out on a stretcher.'"
Regarding his current condition, Trump reported that his right ear was "good" and "getting much better."
"We’re getting down to the small bandages, but it was a nasty one," he said of his wound.
During the interview, Trump also suggested that an investigation should be launched to determine whether the White House attempted to cover up Biden’s physical and mental decline.
"I think somebody has to look at it. Look, you had people that lied to the American public. And I tell you what, you ought to take a look at his doctors because his doctors keep giving him this wonderful report," Trump argued.
Trump didn't hold back on his views about Biden's health. "I’m not a doctor, but I saw [Biden] the other day. He was unable to get up the children's stairs going into Air Force One," he said.
He criticized Biden's physician, apparently referring to White House physician Dr Kevin O’Connor, by saying, "His doctor says – I know all about his doctor, by the way – his doctor says he’s in good health. He’s not in good health. I don’t think he’s in good health."

The internet was quick to respond to Donald Trump's revelations, with many users on Facebook trolling the former president.
One user commented, "If only Trump saw that attempt on his life as a life-altering experience. But he and his band of Rethuglicans immediately blamed the left and kept preaching the hate."
Another remarked, "He belongs in a straight jacket with a Hannibal Lecter face muzzle because he won’t stop talking."
One user wrote, "This is a perfect example of the characters of these men....Biden calls Trump and offers condolences and support after the attempt. Trump makes fun of Biden for having COVID and mocks him." [sic]
Another added, "Poor guy, just got over bone spurs and he gets nicked in the ear by a bullet, lol."
One user stated, "Trump is a ridiculous human."
Another claimed, "He was not shot; it was glass, but he believes this portrays him as a tough guy, which he is not. It's just fundraising for his own benefit."
Others contrasted Trump with Biden, with one user writing, "In comparison to Biden, Trump has no decency whatsoever," while another said, "This shows Trump will never be even one-tenth of a man that Biden is. Pathetic human."
