MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: The New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC) hosted their special guest, former US President Donald J. Trump as the headline speaker at their 111th Annual Gala on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

The event was broadcast on Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) and featured Gateway Pundit’s founder and Editor-in-Chief Jim Hoft as an honored guest at the NYYRC’s annual gala.

Per the New York Young Republican Club's website, it is the oldest and largest young Republican grouping in the United States, incorporated in 1911 with predecessor organizations dating to 1856.

Their annual gala on Saturday was 111th in line after they’ve hosted these meetings for every important world event since their inception, including both World Wars and Covid-19.

Saturday’s event featured Cipriani’s signature Bellini upon arrival, with an open bar featuring top-shelf alcoholic beverages, hors d’oeuvres, and a multi-course French-service dinner as attendees and guests lend their ears to high-profile national speakers from the conservative party, and a chance to socialize with the honored guests and converse on prospects for the advancement of their objectives.

What did Donald Trump say at 111th Annual Gala?

Where there’s Donald Trump, there shall be controversy, and none more so when he’s allowed to express himself for over an-hour-and-a half as the headline speaker at Saturday’s 111th Annual Gala hosted by the New York Young Republican Club.

Trump said during his speech on climate change, “Is this the biggest con game in the world? I mean, does he really believe this? He goes to China over global warming, which they don't use anymore because it's not getting warmer. It's actually getting a little cooler. So now they call it climate change, because climate change covers everything.”

The former president continued, “If it gets warm, if it gets cold, climate change is one of the greatest con jobs ever. Because global warming didn't work.”

Trump addressed the attendees, saying, “Because, you know, remember, and remember when they sent the boats out to the Arctic, freezing, freezing cold. And the scientists were in the boat, a big ship, and they were worried about the icebergs because they were melting and they had a little cold wave that lasted for about two days.”

“And it was so vicious and so cold that the ice formed around the ship and started crushing the ship like it was a little. Remember we had to send helicopters in to get them. The ship was just engulfed in ice. And they're talking about global warming,” Trump added, “So we're destroying our country.”

Internet trolls Trump for his make-believe take on climate change

People on X were quick to come out in swathes and take on Donald Trump’s bogus claims over climate change.

One X user said: “Wow, my pet rock makes more sense…"

Another user wrote: "I don't know what upsets me more, Trump speaking about climate change or the oddly themed merchandise that is being displayed at the same time."

Another user remarked: "God, he’s STUPID."

One user quipped: "Climate change is obviously a hoax because I have ice in my freezer right now."

Another X user stated: "Trump doesn’t give speeches. He tells long fake stories that provide an alternate reality in which he’s the hero and allow his audience to conflate themselves with him as he pretends to vanquish imaginary enemies like “Sleepy Joe” “Crooked Hillary” “the Deep State” & “Fake News”"

Finally, this user tweeted: "Donald making it into the Oval Office was what the biggest con job in history"
