WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump found himself in hot water after he claimed that he “can’t believe” President Biden will be the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee.

In a Breitbart News article, the 77-year-old front-runner for the GOP nomination called into question Biden's character and cognitive abilities, saying “He’s a cheater. He’s a scoundrel. He’s a bad guy.”

“But in his life, he’s always been able to convince people he’s this really nice guy. I laugh when they say, ‘Trump is the evil one, and he’s the nice one'. That’s the one thing he’s been able to do. All you have to do is look at his credentials,” the real estate mogul continued.

The former president then seemed to target Biden's cognitive capacity, something that he has done previously. “When you compare him today to 15 or 20 years ago, he’s a different kind of a guy. The guy can’t talk,” Trump continued.

“The guy can’t put two sentences together. So I do think this: I cannot believe he’s going to be the nominee. I hope he is. But I can’t believe he’s going to be the nominee,” he added, according to the Hill.

Trump previously predicted Biden wouldn't be Democratic nominee

Trump previously made similar remarks to Fox News host Sean Hannity, whom he said, "I personally don’t think he makes it," adding, "I think he's in bad shape physically. Do you remember when he said, ‘I’d like to take him behind the barn’?”

“If he took me behind the barn, and I went like this. I believe he’d fall over. I believe he’d fall over, who knows!” the former President added.

At that time, he also took aim at Biden’s administration, saying, "I will say he’s got vicious people surrounding him around that beautiful Oval Office.”

“There are people in that Oval Office that are evil people. Bad people. Smart people. Young, vicious, they are communists,” he added.

Trump particularly mentioned Republican presidential candidate and Florida governor Ron DeSantis, along with Democratic governor of California Gavin Newsom, at a Hannity-moderated discussion in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Trump said Newsom is "slick, but he’s got no facts.”

"Considering that he didn’t have the facts, I thought he did well. He said, ‘We have the lowest taxes in the country,’ ‘We have the cleanest streets in the country,’ and I’m saying, ‘Wait a minute, is he talking about the same place?’" Trump said about Newsom.

Internet reacts to Donald Trump’s claims

Trump’s remarks have garnered immense social media attention, with users trolling him for saying that he ‘can’t believe’ Biden will be the nominee.

“I cant believe he isnt in prison,” one user slammed.

“Okay … well, I “can’t believe” Orange Mussolini isn’t in prison yet. So, I guess we’re even,” the second user trolled.

“Lol. 81 million people can't believe a person with 4 indictments and 91 felonies can be the nominee. But here we are,” the third user blasted.

A fourth one wrote, “Well...same goes for him...ridiculous potential matchup and a horrible outcome for the country.”

“This coming from senile traitor! Please, for the love of God, go away!” the fifth user fumed.

“WHY do you give this guy ANY coverage? He’s nuts!” one more said.
