Donald Trump under fire over advice to Melania on writing her pro-choice views in memoir
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former president Donald Trump revealed the advice he gave to Melania Trump regarding writing about her supportive stance on abortion rights in her upcoming memoir.
Speaking to Fox News' Bill Melugin, the MAGA leader stated he and Melania had a talk about the topic, and he told the former first lady that she's "got to write what you believe", reported The Hill.
According to a leaked copy of the forthcoming memoir 'Melania,' the ex-FLOTUS made a shocking revelation in her position on abortion rights in the US, which starkly contradicted the Republican ideology.

Donald Trump told Melania Trump to write what she 'believes'
"We spoke about it. And I said you have to write what you believe. I'm not going to tell what you to do. You have to write what you believe," Donald Trump said of his conversation with Melania Trump, in the Thursday, October 3, interview with Bill Melugin.
"She's very beloved," he continued, adding, "But I said you have to stick with your heart. I've said that to everybody, you have to go with your heart."
In an excerpt from the book obtained by The Guardian, the former model-turned-author said that women should have "autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government."
However, her stance was at stark odds with the anti-abortion agenda of the GOP and, in particular, the MAGA movement.
Moreover, it was her husband who played a significant role in the overturning of Roe v Wade, which came into effect due to his appointment of three conservative judges to the US Supreme Court during his tenure.
The upending of the law in 2022 ended a five-decade-long legal protection of reproductive rights, leaving the right to formulate abortion laws to individual states.
In a recent video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Melania teased her pro-choice stance, stating, "There is no room for compromise when it comes to these essential rights that all women possess from birth."
Meanwhile, in an October 1 Truth Social post, former president Trump reiterated his opposition to the federal abortion ban, stating he would veto it if the bill came across his desk in the event of his second presidency.
He also asserted the states should decide on the issue but cited his support for exceptions to rape, incest, and threat to a mother's life.
Internet outraged as Donald Trump says he asked Melania Trump to write what she 'believes' in
Donald Trump's advice to Melania Trump regarding writing about her thoughts on abortion sparked backlash online. Netizens pointed out the hypocrisy in light of the GOP's anti-abortion agenda.
"What fool doesn't know this is just campaign strategy intended to soften the blow of JD Vance's stance against women's rights? This book and all that comes with it is Melania's deal," a user said.
"Wow....hypocrisy is the Republican way even when, and especially when, they don't even realize it," another remarked.

"Trump is a con man, and his lying continues," added one user.
"But he has no problem telling American women what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. Got it," someone else argued.
"Subterfuge. She’s every bit as awful as her husband. The timing couldn’t be more obvious. She hadn’t been seen for months. Made an appearance at the convention, then disappeared again. She’s attempting to make his position seem moderate," read a fifth response.

"Trump won’t tell his wife what to do, he’s just going to tell every other woman in the country what to do," another user wrote.
"So it's ok for HER but not for the rest of us peasants. Other women don't get a choice. How convenient," an individual wrote.
"This just confirms that the MAGA leader is indeed just a character he’s playing up for the support of conservative America. Just sick," read one remark.
