Donald Trump's campaign criticizes Sunny Hostin's remarks about Melania Trump
Donald Trump's campaign, through its official Trump War Room account on X (formerly Twitter), expressed outrage, calling Sunny Hostin's comments "DISGUSTING."
The post further criticized the state of the Democratic Party, stating, "This is your modern Democrat Party, folks."
In the viral video to which the Trump campaign reacted, Hostin shared her thoughts on the former first lady, saying, "I think Melania Trump hates Donald Trump," to which other members of 'The View' panel agreed, with one commenting, "That's a given."
Hostin went on to assert that Melania no longer wishes to be the first lady of the US.

"I also think she wants to take him out. She does not want to be the First Lady anymore," said the television host.
In a reference to Melania's controversial renovations to the White House Rose Garden and her lack of enthusiasm for holiday decorations during her time in the White House, Hostin said, "She destroyed the Rose Garden. Who hates Christmas? Melania Trump hates Christmas," as per Mediaite.
Hostin remarked that Melania “doesn't want anything to do with him” and “can’t tolerate him," fueling the narrative that the couple's relationship may be more strained than publicly perceived.
Melania Trump's memoir and her stance on abortion
The video controversy comes as Melania Trump is set to release her memoir, 'Melania', on October 8, 2024, in which she took a surprising stance on women’s rights, particularly regarding abortion.
In contrast to Trump’s firm anti-abortion stance, Melania wrote in support of a woman's right to control her own body.
“It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government,” she wrote, according to The Guardian.
Melania asserted that a woman’s "fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes."
Anthony Scaramucci’s similar claims about Melania Trump being 'tired' of politics
This isn't the first time Melania Trump's dissatisfaction with her husband Donald Trump has been speculated.
Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci recently claimed that Melania is "tired of all this nonsense" related to the 2024 presidential campaign.
Scaramucci said that "nobody wants Kamala Harris to win more than me—maybe Melania Trump," reported The Daily Beast.
According to Scaramucci, the former first lady is fatigued by the political pressures surrounding her husband's political career and reportedly wants no part in his return to the White House.
