WASHINGTON, DC: Jason Miller, a senior campaign advisor for former President Donald Trump, revealed on Monday, July 8, that the former leader is narrowing down potential running mates and is almost ready to make a final selection possibly this week.

Trump's choice for vice president has grown in significance as several pundits and media supporters of President Joe Biden have urged the president to drop out of the contest and questioned whether Vice President Kamala Harris would replace him as the Democratic Party's nominee.

Jason Miller says Donald Trump has 'great' VP choices

"It's almost an embarrassment of riches that there are so many good people," Jason Miller said on Fox News on Monday regarding Donald Trump's choices for running mate.

"And what President Trump has said is that whoever he does pick needs to be able to step in and do the job on day one," he added.

Trump has a lot of "great choices," Miller continued, and the ultimate choice could be made at any point between now and the Republican convention, which begins on July 15.

Jason Miller says Donald Trump discussed several names for his deputy

When asked if Senator Marco Rubio, R-Fla, Sen JD Vance, R-Ohio, or North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum are the most serious candidates to be Donald Trump's running mate, Jason Miller said "President Trump has discussed even more names than that."

"What we don't know is who President Trump and his running mate will be running against," Miller said. "Ultimately, with all the talk this morning about Joe Biden and whether or not he can hang on in the presidential spot."

"I look ahead as a campaign strategist to what does that vice presidential debate look like," Miller said, referencing calls from within the media for Biden to withdraw from the race.

"We don't know if that's going to be Kamala, or maybe they swap her out for someone who's even more liberal, more extreme, although that might be tough to do," Miller said.

Jason Miller opines Joe Biden's campaign efforts are 'a waste of time'

Jason Miller also said that the Biden campaign's efforts in states like Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia are a "waste of time."

"I think it's doing Joe Biden a disservice for two reasons," he said. "No. 1 is it's highlighting the fact that Joe Biden cannot do three campaign stops in a day."

"President Trump right now is leading in New Jersey," Miller stated. "He's leading in New Hampshire. He's leading in Minnesota. While Democrats might want to talk about going on offense. They're really on their heels in even blue states."

Internet says Donald Trump needs to choose a Vice President who'll bag 'lots of votes and donors'

Netizens reacted to Jason Miller's remarks concerning Donald Trump's potential deputy.

One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, "Trump needs the VP that will bring lots of votes and donors. Praying he is also a godly man."

Another suggested, "@ByronDonalds is the best choice! MAGA successor for 2028! Young, smart, energetic, Econ major, great family, from Brooklyn, NY, and America First! Will help deliver the message credibly to black and young voters! He’s nvr said a bad thing about Trump in the past too! MAGA !"

"Listening to Dirtbag Joey should make you all puke knowing that he's flown in a half a million illegal aliens and allowed 15 million illegal aliens to enter our country. If he gets voted in again there should be a federal law only people that voted for him must pay for illegals," remarked one user.

"And the current V.P. is a bumbling idiot whose grandparents owned slaves," someone else said of Kamala Harris.
