The day following President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the reelection campaign and his endorsement of Harris, Trump derided her as "dumb as a rock", which led to the phrase trending on social media.

After weeks of fighting for his political life – insisting he wasn’t going anywhere following a disastrous debate performance – Joe Biden finally announced on Sunday, July 21, that he is bowing out of the 2024 presidential race.

Moments after he announced he is withdrawing from the race, Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee.

Following Biden's announcement of his withdrawal from the presidential race and his endorsement of Harris, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump shared his reaction on Truth Social.

He wrote, "Wow, just watching the Fake News, and they're doing their very best to turn the Worst President in the History of our Country into a "Brilliant and Heroic Leader" (He was heroic because he quit!), and to turn "Dumb as a Rock" Kamala Harris from a totally failed and insignificant Vice President into a future "Great" President."

"No, it just doesn't work that way!"

An X user shared the screengrab of Trump's remark writing, "I hope women take notice that Trump is in the habit of calling them dumb and crazy."

However, former president Donald Trump's comments against Kamala Harris did not go down well with many social media users.

Trump's detractors have employed the phrase to highlight some of his most notorious assertions and remarks, ranging from suggesting disinfectant injections as a potential Covid-19 cure to claiming wind turbines cause cancer, to the occasion he gazed at the sun during an eclipse.

Another wrote sharing Trump's image, "Dumb as a Rock"

The third one stated, "I don’t think I’ve ever seen his insult game this lame. The old demented lunatic doesn’t know what to do."

"The guy that looked directly into the solar eclipse is calling someone "Dumb as a Rock"," one user mocked.

Trump was heavily trolled as one remarked, "Dude who bankrupted casinos calls someone else "dumb as a rock"."

"Windmills cause cancer. Can we nuke the hurricane? And drink bleach is calling someone dumb as a rock? Hmmmm interesting to say the least," commented an X user.

Another brutally slammed the former president saying, ""Dumb as a rock" from a man who thinks stealth bombers are invisible, batteries in boats electrocute you, drinking bleach is good, Hannibal Lechter is a real person. God help us."
