Elizabeth Hurley opens up about blended family with Billy Ray Cyrus amid engagement rumors
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Elizabeth Hurley has opened up about her blended family with boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus.
The 61-year-old actress has one child, a son named Damian Charles Hurley, while Cyrus has six children.
Hurley shares Damian, 24, with her late ex-partner Steve Bing. Meanwhile, the 65-year-old singer has children from multiple relationships.
Four are his biological children, including pop star Miley Cyrus, 33, while the other two are his stepchildren from his marriage to his second wife, Tish Cyrus.
Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus embrace empty-nest life
During a recent episode of the ‘Off Air with Jane & Fi’ podcast, the English model said, “It works very well, I think,” as per The Daily Mail.
“They were at school. There were still school runs, school holidays. There was an awful lot to juggle. And now, Billy and I are empty nesters. All our children are independent and Damian is the youngest of all of them,” Hurley explained.
The ‘Bedazzled’ star also spoke about her ex-partner, Australian cricketer Shane Warne, who died in March 2022 at the age of 52.
She said he “had three kids and they were all sort of the same age as Damian and then a few years above, but they were kids.”
Warne was the father of Brooke, Jackson and Summer, whom he shared with his ex-wife, Simone Callahan.
Elizabeth Hurley opens up about motherhood
During the interview, Hurley also discussed what it feels like to be the mother of an adult child.
“It’s very different. It’s more grown up and it’s easier. Sometimes I miss being a hands-on mummy,” she noted, but also asserted that she does not “miss the school runs. I don’t miss running around the house screaming because I can’t find a tennis racket. I don’t mind missing that. But you do sort of miss, I suppose, being so hands-on. It’s an adjustment to have to make.”
Elizabeth Hurley sparks engagement rumours with diamond ring
This comes more than a year after Hurley and Cyrus publicly revealed their romance on Easter 2025.
Earlier this month, the ‘Strictly Confidential’ actress sparked engagement rumours by sharing a photo of herself wearing a large diamond ring on that finger.
Days later, Cyrus also posted a photo of himself with Mark Collie's song ‘Something with a Ring to It’ playing in the background.
His caption read, “This is the most fertile solid ground I have stood on in a long time. Party’s in The Back with DELTONA went over a half million views in a few days. It’s fun.”
