WASHINGTON, DC: Senator Elizabeth Warren said that President Donald Trump and his administration were treating the Iran conflict like a ‘game.'

Warren made these remarks while addressing the human cost of war, reflecting on her family’s military background and the impact of deployments on loved ones. She highlighted the risks faced by service members and emphasized the responsibility of leaders when making decisions about military action.

Elizabeth Warren’s comments focused on the risks faced by service members and the responsibility of leaders when making decisions about military action.

“All three of my brothers served in the military, my oldest brother in Vietnam. And I remember the fear our family felt with every late night phone call or official looking letter,” she said. “The leaders who send our young people to die need to understand the life and death consequences.”

“Was my brother okay? Was he alive? It's still hard to find the words to describe the pain that we put American families through when we ship a generation off to war,” she added.

Elizabeth Warren calls Donald Trump’s handling of war ‘a game’

Warren then turned her criticism toward Trump, saying, “Instead, President Trump is treating war with Iran like a game, as if Commander in Chief was some kind of costume and Secretary of War was a fancy pretend title, and the lives lost were just numbers on a board.”

“They're calling the war Operation Epic Fury. These are not serious people. They're not treating the lives of our sons and daughters and grandkids with the utmost care,” she said. “They change their story every hour. That is wrong.”

Warren has been one of Trump’s biggest critics in the Democratic camp.

She also said on March 18 that oil industry leaders had warned Trump about the possible consequences of US military action in Iran.

The Massachusetts Democrat wrote on X, “Even oil executives are warning Donald Trump that his war with Iran could lead to ‘economic destruction’ for American families.”
