Elon Musk mocked for abandoning toddler son X on MAGA rally stage: 'He considers them expendable'

WASHINGTON, DC: Elon Musk has recently been creating headlines for his heartwarming moment with his various children, including his son X, whom he shares with former partner Grimes. 

While the Tesla CEO’s heartwarming moment with his children has been winning the hearts of netizens lately, a resurfaced video lets viewers into a different aspect of Musk. 

In the video, Musk can be seen getting down from the stage alone while leaving his toddler son wandering off alone. The video, naturally, gained attention online as netizens slammed the X owner for being a careless parent.

In the video, which appeared to have been taken on January 19, at President Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again rally in Washington, DC, the 53-year-old SpaceX founder was seen getting down from the stage and walking away. 

While Musk made headlines last month for tagging his son X along with him during the victory rally, a behind-the-scene images has apparently emerged recently. 

The video further showed that as Musk walked away, an attendee seemingly attempted to grab his attention, as she said, "Wait, you're…you're leaving your little boy.”

A liberal X user shared the video online, writing, "Elon Musk walks off and leaves his 4 year old son wandering off stage by himself. This clip legitimately disturbs—and saddens—me."

Soon, the video went viral on the Internet including Reddit, with people calling him out for neglecting his little son. 

Nevertheless, some of the social media users pointed out that though the video did not have the part, Musk - instead of walking away - ultimately looked back for his son to catch up to him. 

This was, however, not the only time that the billionaire CEO brought his children to a public event. Recently, he took X for one of his White House visits, where he attended a press conference at Trump’s Oval Office when the youngster was left frolicking around in the room.

Apart from X, Musk has fathered 12 other children with four women - Justine Wilson, Grimes, Shivon Zillis, and Ashley St Clair. While St. Clair recently announced she gave birth to the DOGE head's 13th baby, Musk has yet to to confirm the news.

Elon Musk's apparent lack of fatherly duties angered a major section of the Internet who unabashedly called the billionaire businessman to be the winner of the "Worst Parent" award this year. 

One of the social media users wrote on Reddit, "This is not unexpected behaviour. I feel like he’s already earned the Worst Parent award several times this year."

Someone else added, "The fact that I've never seen a video like this in my life reflects that he is genuinely an unusually bad person."

Another disgruntled user wrote on their X account, "Treats the country like he treats his kid. Once he’s done using him, he discards him and moves on caring nothing for his safety."

"The is what happens when the camera is not on him. He forgets his prop," noted someone else. 

Someone else mused online, "Doesn’t surprise me that he forgot his child."

"He has no business taking his child to this event if he can’t keep an eye on him. The child has a nanny, that’s who he should be with," pointed out another user.

Another fan added, "He's teaching him from early on that he's gonna be off by himself?"

"That's just because they use kids to create image, there's literally no other reason for kids to be there lol," declared another netizen.

Someone else voiced, "Elon treating his kid like a bluetooth device that disconnected mid walk."

"Well he does have like 10-12 other children, he probably considers them expendable," castigated another. 

Nevertheless, despite the backlash, everyone was not on the same page, as a fan of Elon Musk noted, "That child has the probably one of the best security details in the world, they're not just there to protect Elon."

"Little X was enjoying standing on the step waving at people. Elon thought he was right behind him. He turned around and went back when he realized he was not. Security right there," said someone else.
