Elon Musk says ‘my son is dead’ as he blames ‘woke mind virus’ for trans child’s transition

BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA: Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, recently opened up about his personal experience with his transgender child, Vivian Jenna Wilson, formerly known as Xavier.

In a candid interview with Dr Jordan Peterson, Musk discussed his belief that "the woke mind virus" had a detrimental impact on his child, whom he figuratively described as being "killed" by this ideology, as per Fox News.

Elon Musk was asked about his thoughts on doctors performing sex change procedures on children, a practice both Musk and Dr Jordan Peterson described as "evil."

Musk responded saying he felt "tricked" into consenting to puberty blockers for his child during the tumultuous period of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"It happened to one of my older boys, where I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier. This is before I had any understanding of what was going on. Covid was going on, so there was a lot of confusion and I was told Xavier might commit suicide if he doesn't…" Musk told Dr Peterson.

"That was a lie right from the outset," Dr Peterson said.

"Incredibly evil, and I agree with you that the people that have been promoting this should go to prison," Musk responded.

He expressed regret over not understanding the full implications of the treatment at the time, labeling it as "sterilization drugs" and criticizing the term "gender affirming care" as a misleading euphemism.

The billionaire CEO said his experience with Vivian's transition opened his eyes to what he perceives as the dangers of the "woke mind virus".

"I lost my son, essentially. They call it deadnaming for a reason," Musk said.

"The reason it's called deadnaming is because your son is dead. My son Xavier is dead, killed by the woke mind virus."

Deadnaming is what transgenders typically refer to others calling them by the name they went by before they began to transition.

Musk and Dr Peterson agreed that those promoting such medical procedures for children should face legal consequences. Musk expressed his determination to combat this ideology, saying, "I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that."

Vivian Jenna Wilson came out as transgender in June 2022, filing a legal request to change her name and take her mother's last name. At the time, she stated, "I no longer want to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form."

Around the same time, the then-18-year-old filed a request to change name her from Xavier to Vivian and take her mother's last name. 

Musk's stance against what he calls the "woke" left has influenced his business decisions, including moving SpaceX's California headquarters to Texas. This move came after California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill prohibiting school districts from notifying parents if their child uses different pronouns or identifies as a different gender at school.
