DALLAS, TEXAS: White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre could not confirm if Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker would be meeting with President Joe Biden, on Friday, May 17, reported HuffPost.

The team was invited to the White House during their trip to Washington to celebrate their recent victory in the Super Bowl. However, the status of Butker's invitation came under question after he delivered a bigoted commencement speech at Benedictine College in Kansas on May 11.

“What I can say is all of the team, per usual when there is a championship team, gets invited,” Jean-Pierre stated at the press conference on Friday. "I don’t have anything to add on their attendance or how that looks, but the team is always invited. Everyone on the team is invited.”

When asked specifically about Butker, she added, "What I can say is we invite the entire team, and we do that always. I don’t have anything beyond that. We invite the team. It’s an invitation that goes to the team, and so it’s up to the team who comes and who doesn’t come.”

What did Harrison Butker say in his commencement speech?

Butker's remarks on May 11 included strong criticism of incumbent Joe Bide, along with jarring takes on reproductive rights and the LGBTQIA+ community.

"Bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues. Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values and media all stem from the pervasiveness of of disorder," he stated.

His later comments about female graduates being more excited about marriage and child-rearing rather than having rewarding careers with the degrees that they studied for, earned him harsher backlash, with the NFL denouncing his views and stating that they are "steadfast in our commitment to inclusion, which only makes our league stronger.”

Internet says Harrison Butker should be served 'humble pie' at White House

"He should remain invited. Just because he’s living back in 1824 doesn’t mean he’s not part of the team. Just make sure that for dessert he gets a big piece of humble pie," a reader commented on the news on the HuffPost website.

"Women were more respected and accepted of their abilities in 1824 that what he gives them today!" shared another.

"Biden should be the bigger man and use the opportunity as a teaching lesson for the country," stated a third.

"Invite him. do a drag show in his honor. Sit him next to RuPaul," was the opinion of a fourth.

Another said, "Butlicker must be out! Women have had enough of this nonsense."

Another user added, "Here is a suggestion, Joe, bow out, let Jill and Kamala handle this."

"Don’t worry he might say the Hell with it," opinionated a person over the social media platform X.
