WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump renewed his criticism against President Joe Biden's administration, reiterating his claim that the hush money trial was politically motivated.

The Republican presumptive nominee, in a furious social media post, demanded the White House to apologize and immediately drop the "SHAM TRIAL" against him, according to Mediaite.

Trump, the first former president to go to a criminal trial, faces 34 felony counts for falsifying his business records to hide a $130 000 hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election to prevent her from publicizing their one-time sexual encounter.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's prosecution team argued by paying the hush money to suppress negative stories about him, the ex-POTUS tried to influence the 2016 presidential election, which he won. However, Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Donald Trump's scathing Truth Social post

Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Friday, May 17, doubling down on his baseless claims of political prosecution and demanding an apology.

The MAGA spearhead wrote, "There is virtually universal agreement of the fact that the Alvin Bragg Witch Hunt against me, a SHAM TRIAL instigated and prosecuted directly from the inner halls of the White House and DOJ, should be immediately dropped, with apologies to me and all of the others who have had to live with this Election Interfering Hoax against Crooked Joe Biden's Political Opponent. Not nice!!!

Trump, who frequently criticized the principal characters, including star witnesses of the trial, steered clear from mentioning anyone lately.

Judge Juan Merchan, who oversees the trial, issued a gag order against the former president, preventing him from making any public remarks about witnesses, jurors, and court staff along with their families. However, the White House hopeful had redirected his anger towards Merchan, who is not a part of the gag order.

Furthermore, Trump rallied his congressional allies to travel to Manhattan for his trial, where they helped him bypass the gag order by criticizing the witnesses on behalf of the soon-to-be official GOP nominee.

Internet mocks Donald Trump for demanding apology

Netizens mocked the real estate mogul for demanding an apology from the White House after baselessly claiming Biden brought the prosecution against him.

One user wrote, "Someone sounds NERVOUS." Meanwhile, another remarked, "Trump is such an embarrassment."

"WOW, HE IS SCARED THAT BY THE END OF THE NEXT WEEK HE MIGHT BE FOUND GUILTY. POOR BABY DON'T DO THE CRIME AND ANS YOU WOULDN'T BE IN COURT," a third user added.

A fourth response read, "Donnie sounds scared."

Another person said, "Trump believes he should get away with everything because he has no respect for the rule of law. He wants total immunity. Why? Because he can't stop breaking the law."

"Trump is not known for truth-telling. So there is that," someone else chimed in.

An individual opined, "Trump is good at some things - Hyperbole! Exaggeration! Lies! Inflammatory speech! Name-calling! Juvenile behavior, including whiny, pouting, and personal pity parties! But not much more."

"OK. We are sorry you do not like being held accountable for some of your many crimes. We sincerely apologize for not impeaching you as you deserved. We hope the many people you threw under the bus will testify loudly for the prosecution so you can hear," another user quipped.
