Erika Kirk says Charlie’s TPUSA mission is now her mission, vows ‘every part will become greater’

GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Erika Kirk, who has been named the new CEO of Turning Point USA, the organization founded by her late husband, Charlie Kirk, promised to continue his work on college campuses and expand the group’s presence with thousands of new chapters.



 

Erika Kirk vows to grow Turning Point USA’s mission and campus impact

Speaking to a crowd at the memorial service, Erika shared her vision for the organization’s future, saying that the work Charlie Kirk started will only grow stronger.

“The world needs Turning Point USA,” Erika said. “It needs a group that will point young people away from the path of misery and sin. It needs something that will lead people away from hell in this world and in the next. It needs young people pointed in the direction of truth and beauty, and so I promise you today every part of our work will become greater,” she added.

“Charlie and I were united in purpose. His passion was my passion, and now his mission is my mission,” Erika said. “Everything that Turning Point USA built through Charlie’s vision and hard work, we will make 10 times greater through the power of his memory.”

In a powerful moment during the service, Erika revealed she has forgiven the man accused of killing her husband. The crowd of tens of thousands gave her a standing ovation.

“I forgive him,” she said. Quoting Jesus on the cross, she added: “Father, forgive them, for they not know what they do.”



 

“I forgive him because it is what Christ did,” Erika said, without naming the suspect, Tyler Robinson. “The answer to hate is not hate.”
