Rumors about Annie Potts’ death spread online after she shared a tribute to late star Tim Curry. Confusion grew when a Google overview incorrectly suggested that Potts had died.

Fans quickly reacted to the claim on social media. One user wrote, “So I looked up Anne Potts today, and it says she died, but yet she posted on her ig about Tim Curry.” Another shocked user posted, “GOD DAMNIT. FIRST DOLLY PARTON THEN TIM CURRY AND NOW ANNIE POTTS??? AAAAAA”

The claim is false. Annie Potts is alive, and there is no credible report confirming her death.

Potts was born in Nashville but has lived in Los Angeles for many years. Her Wikipedia page also does not report her death.
