Fact Check: Did Donald Trump claim that Joe Biden was involved in Brazil's election?
WASHINGTON, DC: After President Donald Trump’s ally, Flavio Bolsonaro, lost Brazil’s election, a rumor is circulating on social media platforms claiming that Trump blamed former President Joe Biden, alleging that he was involved in Brazil’s election. The claim has sparked speculation and mockery, with many calling for a fact-check.
Claim: Trump claimed Joe Biden was involved in Brazil's election

The claim spread as a post on X, according to which Trump allegedly said, “Joe Biden was involved in the Brazil Election last night.”
The post has garnered tens of thousands of views as of this writing, drawing mixed reactions from online users, with many skeptical and asking if the president had really made such a statement blaming the former president for Brazil’s election results.
Meanwhile, a few others believe it is an authentic remark by Trump, prompting a fact-check.
Fact Check: Donald Trump made no such remark

Although Trump claimed without evidence that Brazil’s election was rigged, there are no reports of him claiming that Biden was involved after leftist President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva won the election.
“It looked like another rigged election, frankly,” Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. “I didn’t take sides, but it was a terrible look for the world. Elections have to be indisputable, and it looked really bad to me.”
When asked if he would “do something about the election,” Trump responded, “I am not running Brazil, I’m running the USA.”
If Trump really said Biden was involved in the South American nation’s election, it would not go unreported by prominent media outlets and would have made headlines. But a search on Google for the claim returned no relevant results that support the claim.
Trump and MAGA allies react to Brazil election results

According to Politico, while Trump never explicitly endorsed a candidate, he did embrace Bolsonaro at times, as did the broader MAGA movement. Trump had once publicly promoted his father, former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
“I didn’t take sides, I didn’t endorse anybody or anything, but I watched the election, and it looks so corrupt. So terrible,” Trump said of the election
Lula had defied Trump on issues such as tariffs in the past, and his victory has sparked backlash from some Trump supporters, including Steve Bannon, who called on Trump and State Secretary Marco Rubio to cut off diplomatic relations and “shut down everything with Brazil.”
