WASHINGTON, DC: Following the election, rumors have circulated about Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, potentially getting divorced after her presidential election defeat.

A recent rumor claimed that Emhoff had an affair with a campaign staffer, causing a dispute between Harris and Emhoff.

The account Conservative Brief recently posted about the affair.

The post claimed, "BREAKING - Trouble At Home?! Rumors are circulating that Vice-President Kamala Harris and her husband Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff may have separated following her 2024 election loss and speculation of an affair with a campaign staffer."



 

No evidence supports affair rumors between Doug Emhoff and campaign staffer

There are no verified reports of Doug Emhoff engaging in an affair with a campaign staffer. Neither Emhoff nor Kamala Harris has made any official statements regarding such an affair with the staffer.

Additionally, there is no evidence to support the claim that Emhoff had "an affair with a campaign staffer."

Harris and Emhoff have always shown a united front and were recently spotted together in Hawaii on a vacation.

During Harris' campaign and her tenure as vice president, Emhoff has been a constant source of support. He frequently attended campaign events and stood by Harris during her concession speech after the election, showing a solid display of unity.

Moreover, Emhoff often reposts Harris's social media content, showcasing his unwavering support and affection, especially during and after the campaign season.

Allegations of misconduct and past affair surface

In October, the Daily Mail cited a former staffer at Doug Emhoff's law firm, alleging that Emhoff used foul language and displayed misogynistic behavior. It was also alleged that he hired a "trophy secretary" and retaliated against women who did not reciprocate his advances.

The New York Post reported that Emhoff allegedly "forcefully slapped" his ex-girlfriend in New York City after she flirted with another man at a high-profile gala in 2012. These incidents were reported citing anonymous sources, and there has been no confirmation of the allegations.

Emhoff has acknowledged an affair during his first marriage with Kerstin Emhoff. The affair was with Najen Naylor, who served as a nanny for their children and was also a teacher at their private school.

This relationship reportedly resulted in a pregnancy, although Naylor did not keep the child. Emhoff has publicly taken responsibility for his actions, stating that he and his family have worked through the issues and emerged stronger.
