Fact Check: Did Jasmine Crockett request a federal probe into Erika Kirk?

WASHINGTON, DC: Following the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, his wife and current Turning Point USA CEO, Erika Kirk, went viral across social media platforms.
The attention, however, wasn’t directly related to her husband’s death but to events allegedly preceding it.
Viral posts alleged that, before her husband’s death, she received funds from a shell company and that a federal probe had been ordered by Rep Jasmine Crockett.
However, is there any truth to the rumor circulated online about Erika Kirk? Let's find out below.

Claim: Jasmine Crockett demanded probe into Erika Kirk over $350K payment
Viral online posts claimed that Erika Kirk received a $350,000 payment from a Delaware-based shell company shortly before Charlie Kirk’s death on September 10, and that the company vanished just days later.
The claim had been circulating online for a while, with one user on X sharing it: "She thought no one would notice. But leaked records tell a different story. Two weeks before her husband’s mysterious death, a $350,000 transfer hit Erika Kirk’s account — wired from a shell company that dissolved four days later"

On October 26, the Facebook page Power & Progress shared the claim, drawing tens of thousands of interactions. The same allegation quickly spread across other platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and X.
They further alleged that Rep Jasmine Crockett had demanded a federal investigation into the matter.

False: Jasmine Crockett did not call for federal investigation into Erika Kirk
The rumor alleging that Crockett called for a federal investigation into Erika is false.
This fabricated story originated from Facebook users located outside the United States, who also invented the false claim regarding a supposed $350,000 transfer.
According to Facebook’s “Page Transparency” information, the Power & Progress page, which circulated the post, is managed by individuals based in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

The post linked to a WordPress article containing text that closely resembled content produced by artificial intelligence (AI) tools, accompanied by multiple advertisements that suggested a clear profit motive.
The article concluded with several sensationalized and forward-looking statements typical of AI-generated fabrications.
Additionally, a similar fabricated story circulated in October 2025 falsely claimed that Crockett alleged that Charlie Kirk’s death was part of a financial fraud cover-up involving Erika and others.
Like the previous hoax, this story also originated from users outside the United States and was linked to ad-filled pages featuring AI-generated text.
