Fact Check: Did Jasmine Crockett torch Mike Huckabee with Bible quotes in TV debate?

WASHINGTON, DC: A rumor has been making the rounds on social media claiming Rep Jasmine Crockett clobbered US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee in a televised debate, supposedly by throwing Bible quotes right back in his face.
Claim: Rep Jasmine Crockett owned Mike Huckabee in a TV debate
"During a recent televised debate, Rep Jasmine Crockett took Mike Huckabee down over his interpretation of Christian morality," read one Facebook post that went viral.
One of the posts even slapped together a side-by-side shot of Crockett and Huckabee with text saying, "You will cry idiot!" That post also came with what looked like a transcript of this so-called exchange. In the script, Crockett allegedly pulled lines straight from the Bible to argue that its teachings actually leaned more toward her stance than Huckabee’s.
Fact Check: False as reports say debate never happened
Snopes confirmed that it never happened.
There was no Crockett vs Huckabee Bible battle on any TV screen. In fact, the entire story was a fabrication. A quick Google search turned up nothing, with zero credible reports from any reputable media outlet.
It seems the viral Facebook post’s images actually came from a YouTube channel called Celebrity Stories. A reverse image search showed the exact same side-by-side pic sitting as the thumbnail of one of their videos, uploaded on August 13.
The video carried the headline, "Mike Huckabee QUESTIONS Jasmine Crockett's Morals — Her Bible Quote Leaves Him Without Words."
Inside, the narration matched up suspiciously well with the language floating around Facebook. The script even dropped the same haymaker lines purportedly from Crockett.
"Jesus never said, 'I was a wealthy corporation and you gave me tax breaks.' He never said, 'I was a gun manufacturer and you protected my profits.' He never said, 'I was a pharmaceutical company and you let me charge whatever I wanted,'" the congresswoman was quoted as saying.
In the video, the voiceover offered a slightly tweaked version of the same “mic-drop moment."
"Crockett saved her most devastating point for last. 'You know what Jesus never mentions in Matthew? He never says, 'I was a wealthy corporation and you gave me tax breaks.' He never says, 'I was a gun manufacturer and you protected my profits,’” the narrator said.
The disclaimers in Jasmine Crockett vs Mike Huckabee post
Unlike the viral Facebook posts, the Celebrity Stories video description included a bold disclaimer. "The stories presented on this channel are entirely fictional and crafted solely for entertainment," it clearly stated.
On top of that, YouTube itself flagged the content with an “altered or synthetic content” disclosure, which means the sound or visuals were either heavily edited or cooked up by AI.
YouTube says users will see this kind of warning in three cases. Firstly, when creators disclose it themselves via YouTube Studio, when YouTube’s own AI tools like DreamScreen are used, or when metadata called Content Credentials reveals the video was entirely made by AI.
But it's worth noting that Celebrity Stories wasn’t the only channel pumping this fiction. Similar fake debates popped up on other corners of YouTube even earlier. On August 10, a channel called Shock Files uploaded its own spin, with the caption once again clearly spelling out that the tales were "entirely fictional and crafted solely for entertainment."
