WASHINGTON, DC: Following the death of President Donald Trump’s close ally and Senator Lindsey Graham, a rumor surfaced on social media claiming that independent journalist Nick Shirley has found that Graham’s death is linked to his investigation into the Clinton Foundation. The rumor has led to shock and speculation, requiring a fact-check.

Claim: Lindsey Graham's death is linked to Clinton Foundation probe

According to a viral post on X, Nick Shirley is convinced that Lindsey Graham’s sudden death is directly connected to his committee's work against the Clinton Foundation.

According to Shirley, Graham was the deciding vote that denied the Foundation $4.2 billion in contracts over 10 years.

“Senator Graham should be listed as number 231 on the Clinton Body Bags list,” Shirley allegedly said.

The post goes on to say that Shirley has reached out to the Graham family with his evidence and is requesting the full autopsy report so independent forensic specialists can examine it. He allegedly said, “There are a lot of ways to create an aortic dissection.”

The post concludes by alleging that people who become serious opponents or threats to the Clintons tend to die under suspicious circumstances, implying that there is a recurring pattern in which the Clintons are somehow connected to the deaths of their perceived enemies, without providing evidence to support the allegation.

Fact Check: False, Nick Shirley made no such allegation

The claim, however, is not supported by facts, as there are no publicly available records or statements by Shirley.

A search on the independent journalist’s social media accounts returned no such allegations. If the claim were true, it would have made headlines, triggering nationwide outrage and debates.

A search on Google for the keywords ‘Nick Shirley Lindsay Graham,’ ‘Clinton body bag,’ yielded no relevant results.

Although Graham served as one of the House impeachment managers in former President Bill Clinton's impeachment trial related to the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the claim about the committee against the Clinton Foundation is baseless.
