WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump's second run as President of the United States started in January 2025, as he was inaugurated as the 47th president following his win in the 2024 presidential election against Kamala Harris.

Recently, a rumor circulated online claiming that actress Sharon Stone said all people who voted for Trump are 'uneducated' Americans. But is there any truth to this? Let us find out below.

Claim: Sharon Stone said all people who voted for Trump are 'uneducated' Americans

In February 2026, a rumor surfaced on X claiming, "BREAKING: Sharon Stone says All People who voted for Trump are 'uneducated' Americans".

The post, which had images of Stone and Trump, garnered more than 440,000 views, and more than 3,000 users reacted to the post at the time of filing this story.

The claim was further shared by several other X accounts.

Interestingly, Trump's administration has not only drawn praise from supporters for fulfilling campaign promises but also criticism from opponents for authoritarian tendencies, economic risks, and policy reversals.

Trump's several actions align with or exceed elements of the Project 2025 proposals, despite Trump's earlier public distancing. The POTUS is set to deliver his first State of the Union address of this term on Tuesday, February 24.

Fact Check: True, Sharon Stone made the statement in 2024

The claims made in the online post are true, as Sharon Stone did make the statement in November 2024, shortly after Trump won the Presidential election. The claim seems to have resurfaced recently.

In a video that was shared on X, the actress made a series of controversial comments about the state of American politics during a panel discussion at the Torino Film Festival in Italy in November 2024.

She said, in a reference to Trump, "We have to stop and think about who we choose for government and if, in fact, we are actually choosing our government or if the government is choosing itself."

Stone had also supported former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election earlier in November, and added during her remarks, "You know, Italy has seen fascism. Italy has seen these things, you guys. And you understand what happens. You have seen this before."

She further told the crowd that "my country is in the midst of adolescence. Adolescence is very arrogant. Adolescence thinks they know everything. Adolescence is naive and ignorant, and arrogant. And we are in our ignorant, arrogant adolescence."

At the time, several reputable media houses, such as USA Today, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and others, covered this story. It remains unclear why and how her remarks resurfaced in February 2026.
