Fact Check: Did Tom Holland file a restraining order against Robert Pattinson over Zendaya?
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A rumor has been circulating on social media platforms claiming that Hollywood actor Tom Holland has filed a legal restraining order against British actor Robert Pattinson, stating that he wants him nowhere near his wife and actress Zendaya. The claim has garnered strong reactions and speculation from fans and online users, prompting a fact-check of the rumor.
Claim: Tom Holland filed a restraining order against Robert Pattinson

According to a viral post that appeared on X, Tom Holland has reportedly filed for a legal restraining order against Robert Pattinson, with court filings citing, “I want him nowhere near Zendaya until I get my tall surgery done."
The post has garnered almost a hundred thousand views as of this writing, drawing mixed reactions from online users, with many believing the claim is true, while a few others remain skeptical, questioning the authenticity of the viral rumor and calling for a fact check.
Fact Check: The claim originated as satire

The claim, however, is false, as there is no evidence of the Spider-Man actor filing such a restraining order against the Batman actor, asking him to stay away from Zendaya.
There are no official statements, announcements, recent interviews, or social media posts from the 30-year-old mentioning such a legal order. The claim that Holland will undergo surgery to get tall is also untrue and baseless, and has been previously debunked by fact-checkers.
If the claim were true, prominent news and entertainment media outlets would have widely covered it, making headlines, but a search on Google for the claim yielded no such media reports.
Moreover, the claim originated from an X account called ‘Chaos Crave’ which describes itself in the bio as parody or satire. Hence, the claim was intended as a satire made for the sake of engagement.
Tom Holland and Zendaya's relationship timeline

The couple met in 2016 during the filming of the 2017 hit film 'Spider-Man: Homecoming,' in which Holland starred as the popular superhero while Zendaya starred as 'MJ,' or Michelle Jones-Watson.
"He's a great dude. He's literally one of my best friends. This past how many months we've had to do press tours together. There's very few people that will understand what that's like at 20 years old," Zendaya said in 2017.
They confirmed in 2021 that they were in a relationship and got engaged in December 2024.
In March this year, Zendaya's longtime stylist, Law Roach, announced that the couple was secretly married, and Holland confirmed their marriage in an interview in June; the couple held a private wedding celebration two months later.
