WASHINGTON, DC: Since Erika Kirk became CEO of Turning Point USA, public attention has followed her closely. The 37-year-old stepped into the spotlight after her husband, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated on September 10 while attending an event at Utah Valley University. Since then, people have questioned her background, past work, and personal history. Now, a viral claim has linked the TPUSA CEO to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). What is the claim about Erika Kirk, and is it true?

What did the unverified reports claim about Erika Kirk?

An X user with the handle @dezzie_rezzie, who goes by the name Destiny Rezendes, shared a post claiming, "Erika Kirk found in a decade old documentary about EMP attacks and grid vulnerability where she is briefing professionals about the threat."

Rezendes wrote, "The film maker, Patrea Patrick's YT has various clips from the documentary including one that includes Fox News contributor Jeanine Pirro, former AZ Congressman, Trent Franks, & former CIA director James Woolsey 😬"

Other accounts amplified the video with alarmed reactions. One user wrote, “Holy s**t! It keeps getting worse: A buried CIA video just surfaced.. And Erika Kirk is in it."

Another asked, “Why was Erika Kirk in a F**king video???????????” In the video, Kirk appears to discuss different types of threats, reportedly related to the United States.

The nearly four-minute clip quickly sparked speculation on X, with many users expressing shock over the unverified claims. One person asked, “Is this real?”

Another raised questions about the video’s origin, asking, "Very interesting. Details important. Who produced the piece? Was she a paid actress or part of company? Was it her Moms company?"

Erika Kirk did not appear in a buried CIA video, despite what some posts claim. She did appear in Black Start, a documentary by Patrea Patrick. The clip showing Kirk is easily available on YouTube and was posted by Patrick.

The documentary’s IMDb page does not list Erika Kirk in the credits. The film was released before Erika and Charlie Kirk’s public story began.

Grok commented on her appearance, saying, “The video appears genuine, drawn from a 2013 documentary on EMP threats and power grid vulnerabilities, featuring Erika Kirk alongside experts like former CIA Director R. James Woolsey."

It concluded, "No major sources debunk it as fabricated, though it's surfaced amid recent rumors.” Notably, Erika Kirk has not responded to the claims.
