WASHINGTON, DC: A screenshot of what appears to be President Donald Trump’s Truth Social post is stirring a storm online. Though the Republican leader's posts have been frequently misrepresented, this latest screenshot is fueling fresh speculation. It allegedly shows Trump discussing his relationship with God, coming shortly after he shared an image portraying himself as Jesus. Let's fact-check the claim.

Claim: Trump posted on Truth Social about his relationship with God

A screenshot circulating online claims to show Trump posting on Truth Social about his relationship with God. The post allegedly reads, "Nobody knows God better than me. And NOBODY is loved more by God than me!"

The alleged screenshot has sparked widespread attention, with many questioning both its authenticity and the message behind it.

Posted on May 17, 2026, with the caption, "Jesus: Bro... are you okay?", the content quickly drew thousands of likes and replies, with netizens sharing similar critical images and debating whether the post was genuine. Comments included, "Is that a real post by him?", "Can't be real, lmao," and "Did Donald Trump really post this on Truth Social?" Another user suggested, "I think you might need to pick up your Bible and read it a little, Mr. Trump..."

This follows Trump’s recent post on Truth Social featuring an AI-generated image. The visual depicted the president in flowing white and red robes, placing one hand on a patient while the other glowed with light. The background included symbolic imagery such as bald eagles, the Statue of Liberty, fighter jets, and the American flag.

Fact Check: Screenshot of Trump's post on God is fake

The post claiming that Trump wrote, "Nobody knows God better than me. And NOBODY is loved more by God than me," is fake.

There's no evidence that the Republican leader posted or said these exact phrases on Truth Social. Searches of his accounts, including X and Truth Social, returned no matches.

Trump has made boastful statements about his faith, relationships with religious leaders, and divine favor in broader terms, a style common in his rhetoric. The POTUS has shared or engaged with Christian imagery. However, these specific hyperbolic claims in the meme do not originate from him.

Posted on May 17, 2026, and labeled with "#satire" and "#christianmemes," the alleged screenshot uses a reaction image of Jesus to mock the perceived arrogance in Trump’s religious self-presentation.

Content like this spreads quickly in polarized online spaces, blending real traits with exaggeration or outright fabrication. The meme is opinion and satire built on an unverified, likely invented quote. It reflects ongoing cultural criticism of Trump’s public religiosity rather than documenting an actual statement.
