Fact Check: Did Trump say the man mocking him at his Georgia rally was 'most likely Antifa'?

MARIETTA, GEORGIA: President Donald Trump's rally in Georgia has sparked multiple viral moments, including one involving an audience member seated directly behind the podium. 

Videos circulating on social media appear to show the man mimicking Trump's signature hand gestures and echoing parts of his speech, prompting widespread speculation about whether he was mocking the president.

As the clip gained traction, an X post claiming Trump later responded by calling the man "most likely ANTIFA" also went viral. But did Trump actually make that remark?

Claim: Trump said the man mocking him was 'most likely Antifa'

An X post by @SpencerHakimian claimed, "JUST IN: Trump says the man mocking him at his rally was 'most likely ANTIFA,'" alongside a short video from the event.

The clip shows President Donald Trump speaking at a podium in Marietta, Georgia. At the same time, a young man seated behind him, dressed in a suit and pink tie, appears to imitate Trump's hand gestures and facial expressions.

The video was shared on July 23, 2026, and it drew significant engagement, with thousands of likes and hundreds of replies debating both the audience member's actions and Trump's alleged response.

The viral moment unfolded during Trump's speech at Wheeler High School, where he promoted new investments coming to Georgia.

While highlighting Japan-backed projects, Trump said, "Japan is investing $600 million in a cutting-edge diamond process facility, as you probably read this morning in your state."

He also announced that Yamaha Motor would establish its new US headquarters in Kennesaw before adding, "More money is being invested in the United States right now than at any time in the history of our country, and Americans are working today more so than ever before."

Fact Check: False, Trump did not make any such remark

The claim is false. Trump did not refer to the young man behind him as "most likely ANTIFA."

As Trump delivered the speech in Georgia, the man seated behind him appeared to mimic the president's signature hand movements while echoing part of his statement, repeating, "than at any time in the history of our country."

 However, Trump did not react to the man or mention him at any point during the event. Instead, he continued his remarks, focusing on economic investments and other policy announcements.

The Georgia rally also highlighted Trump's newly launched Trump Accounts program, which provides a $1,000 investment account for every child born during his second term.

Throughout the speech, Trump promoted the initiative and encouraged families to take advantage of the program, making it one of the event's central themes rather than responding to the audience member's actions.
