According to the viral claim, Reynolds will be making his final appearance as Deadpool in 'Avengers: Secret Wars,' a sequel to ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’

Several accounts on X have amplified the claim and have also been shared on other social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, collectively garnering millions of views as of this writing. 

The claim has also sparked massive disapproval from Marvel fans, suggesting that many believe the claim to be true, while a few others remain skeptical and have questioned the claim’s authenticity.

Fact Check: The claim originated as satire

However, the claim is false, as there are no credible reports or official confirmation from Reynolds or other members of the crew suggesting that the iconic adult superhero’s final appearance will be in 'Avengers: Secret Wars,' which is set to release in 2027.

There are no credible reports from prominent news or entertainment media outlets that support the claim. There are also no official announcements from the makers of the film or Marvel Studios. 

There was also no mention of the claim at the recent San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), which released the first official footage of ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ which will be out in cinemas in December.

Moreover, the claim originated from an X account called ‘Chaos Crave,’ which describes itself in the bio as ‘Parody, satirical account.’

Ryan Reynolds celebrates 10 years of Deadpool

The claim surfaced after Reynolds marked a major 'Deadpool' milestone with a heartfelt tribute for completing 10 years on the big screen at SDCC ON Saturday, July 25, where he pulled off one of the event's best surprises by blending into the crowd in a blue denim and gray-toned Deadpool suit.

Following the event, Reynolds shared a reel on X featuring some of the day's standout moments, writing, "The fans got Deadpool off the ground so many years ago."
