BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: Sean “Diddy” Combs has been making headlines for quite some time, from his legal battles to his 2025 jail sentence. Recently, a post online went viral, claiming that the hip-hop mogul is 'missing' from prison. The post refers to the rapper’s conviction on two counts related to illegal s*xual activities.

Following his federal conviction, Diddy received a 50-month prison sentence. Now, the big question remains: what is the truth behind these claims? Claim: Sean 'Diddy' Combs is missing from prison

A post on X (formerly Twitter) recently claimed that Sean 'Diddy' combs' 'missing' from prison, and it has spread online like wildfire. The post was shared by a page called Hoops Crave. Within a few hours of being published, it gained 5.9 million views.

That number has now reached 11.4 million, along with 4.9 thousand retweets and 3.4 thousand comments, and it is still growing.

The post has caused widespread confusion about Diddy’s whereabouts, with many expressing disbelief at the claim. After it went viral, several other accounts on X shared the same story, increasing the attention and spreading the rumors even more.

Fact Check: Sean 'Diddy' Combs is still in prison

To put the rumors to rest, the answer is a clear no. The hip-hop mogul is still in prison and is currently lodged at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. Despite the viral claim, there is no official indication that Diddy is missing. The post circulating online does not cite any verifiable source and is most likely a parody, as Hoops Crave describes itself as a 'parody account.'

Even on the X post itself, it is clarified beneath the main content, "Sean Combs (Diddy) is not missing. According to Bureau of Prisons records, he is serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey with a projected release date of June 4, 2028." The post also includes links to articles from CNN and NBC to support the statement.

Grok also fact-checked the viral claim, noting, “No, it's not true. Latest news confirms Diddy is still in prison at FCI Fort Dix, with a release date in 2028. No reports of him missing. The post seems like parody.” While the rumor of Diddy being missing gained significant attention online, it has been repeatedly debunked.

A careful search on Google Trends, X trends, and trusted news outlets such as BBC News, The Washington Post, Fox News, Mediative, The New York Post, CNN, CNBC, Entertainment Tonight, and TMZ shows no reports supporting the claim.
