WASHINGTON, DC: An alleged X post attributed to Vice President JD Vance about Erika Kirk has gone viral, drawing sharp criticism online for its claims. The post has surfaced amid ongoing rumors surrounding JD Vance and Erika Kirk following the death of Charlie Kirk. At the same time, JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, are expecting their fourth child, adding further attention to the situation. The alleged post has sparked online backlash and renewed scrutiny. Let’s fact-check the X post.

Claim: JD Vance said people hate Erika because she is blonde and pretty

An X user has shared a screenshot of an alleged JD Vance post featuring images of Erika Kirk from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The screenshot claims that JD Vance wrote, “I think people hate Erika because she’s blonde and pretty,” followed by, “Nothing more, nothing less,” and concluded with, “Pretty blondes get a lot of hate.”

The user criticized JD Vance for the alleged remarks, asking, “If you were married and pregnant, what would you think of your husband posting about how beautiful another woman is? Your thoughts?”

Usha Vance, who is of Indian-American heritage and has dark hair, announced her fourth pregnancy in January 2026, with the baby due in late July. This context has been cited in discussions about the hypothetical implications of a husband commenting on another woman’s appearance.

Online reactions have been divided, with some users calling the alleged remark insensitive in light of past viral moments involving the couple, while others have dismissed the criticism as exaggerated or unrelated to Usha Vance’s appearance.

Fact Check: JD Vance's post about Erika Kirk is fabricated

The alleged screenshot claiming that JD Vance wrote about people hating Erika Kirk is false. There is no verified evidence that JD Vance made such a post on X (formerly Twitter). The screenshot has not been confirmed by any credible news outlet, official archive, or verified social media account.

No matching post appears in JD Vance’s known public statements or archived social media activity, and the content follows a pattern commonly seen in edited or fabricated social media screenshots.

Viral screenshots of this kind are often misattributed, altered, or taken out of context, particularly when they involve political figures. Without a direct link to an official post or platform verification, such claims remain unsubstantiated.

Notably, if this claim were genuine, the post would be visible on JD Vance’s official X account, searchable across major platforms, and likely reported by established news organizations. However, no such evidence exists in search results or reputable media coverage. Therefore, the claim is assessed as fabricated.
