The last time Trump underwent a medical examination at Walter Reed was in May, after which his physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella described his health as "excellent" and "fully fit" to carry out his duties.

Barbabella noted a "slight lower leg swelling" and bruising on the hand, "consistent with minor soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshaking in the setting of aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention."

Despite the excellent health assessment, the report also included a few routine observations.

“The President remains up to date on all appropriate preventive screenings and immunizations,” Barbabella said.

“Routine cancer screenings, cardiovascular risk assessment, and metabolic evaluations are current and within recommended intervals. Preventive counseling was provided, including guidance on diet, recommendation to take a low-dose aspirin, increased physical activity, and continued weight loss.”

Trump later took to Truth Social, writing, “Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY. Thank you to the great Doctors and Staff!”
