MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: Social media buzzes after videos showing an ICE officer fatally shooting a woman in Minneapolis circulated online. Some social‑media users dismissed the reports as a hoax, accusing critics of using the incident to undermine President Donald Trump’s policy agenda on illegal immigration and to cast the administration in a negative light.

The reports of the shooting came amid an expanded immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis under the Trump administration, part of a broader crackdown aimed at addressing what federal authorities described as 'widespread fraud within immigrant communities'.

But how much of this story is actually true?

Good died just a few blocks from her home, and she was identified by her mother, according to the Star Tribune. Several state officials said Good was present during an ICE raid in south Minneapolis in the role of a legal observer, a volunteer who oversees and documents the actions of police and security personnel during protests and operations.

Opinions about what happened vary, with some critics calling the use of force excessive and others accepting officials’ claims of self-defense, and key details are still being examined.
