WASHINGTON, DC: Social media platforms erupted with opinions flowing through when FBI Director Christopher Wary made a clear warning that the United States could be facing a terror attack similar to the recent one in Moscow, Russia.

Wary, the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has been holding the fort since August 2, 2017, after former President Donald Trump tapped him for the role on June 7 of the same year.

Wray, as per the Daily Mail, has issued a warning about the increased likelihood of a coordinated terror attack in the US.

In an interview with NBC News, Wray expressed the FBI's growing concern stating they are "increasingly concerned [about] the potential for some kind of coordinated attack here in the homeland."

He drew parallels to recent events in Russia, asserting that the attack "maybe not that different from what you saw against the concert hall in Russia a few weeks ago from ISIS-K."

Highlighting the severity of the situation, Wray previously addressed a House of Representatives panel, talking about the current threat that the US possesses, saying, "As I look back over my career in law enforcement, I would be hard-pressed to think of a time where so many threats to our public safety and national security were so elevated all at once."

The attack on a Moscow concert hall on March 22, claiming the lives of at least 144 individuals, marked Russia's deadliest terror incident in two decades, as per the Daily Mail.

Wray emphasized that the terror threat to the US escalated following Hamas' lethal assault on Israel on October 7.

He noted a significant uptick in the threat level even before this incident, stating, "We thought that even before October 7 that the terrorism threat was already elevated. Post-October 7 it has gone to a whole other level."

Furthermore, discussing the increasingly hostile global climate and the potential for terrorism spillage, Wray mentioned, "Whether it's the threat from China, Russia, Iran, [there are] terrorism threats both foreign terrorism threats and domestic terrorist threats."

Internet users assert government is setting stage for attack to interfere in elections

A reader online stated, "I mean the borders are open. The vetting process has deteriorated to nothing. It’s clear we need to anticipate it as the government is not protecting the borders at this point."

Another user stated, "They know it's going to happen, they obviously have intelligence monitoring the threat, but they can't stop it? When it happens, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it plays into a narrative the Democrats are pushing."

A user commented, "They’re concerned, because they’re planning it. A giant false flag to postpone the election- that’s their game plan. Be prepared. It’s coming- courtesy of the Deep State."

Another user commented, ""Increasingly concerned," yet our gov't still does NOTHING about it. It's their play to keep spying on citizens because of the "threat."

A user wrote, "Not concerned enough to close the borders to protect American citizens. This is more about setting the stage for something to interfere with the coming presidential election."

Another user wrote, "You should be concerned. Biden has left the border wide open for anyone who wants to come here. I can't even imagine how many people who want to do us harm are now here."
