In the clip, Alba and Kamala Harris are seen having a somewhat awkward conversation, dressed in matching pantsuits. Alba's fans were quick to react and the backlash was swift.

The now-viral video, shared by Alba with her 20.6 million Instagram followers, features Harris discussing the significance of Latina small businesses.

“First of all, Latina small businesses are the fastest growing in the country,” Harris says. Alba responds enthusiastically, snapping her fingers and agreeing, “Yes they are, yes they are.”

The conversation continued with Harris stating, “But included in that is that we don’t lack for people who have ambition and have aspirations and dreams… but not everybody has access to the capital.” Alba replies, “So true,” as she nods in agreement.

Fans call video 'desperate' as Jessica Alba looks 'uncomfortable'

While the video seemed intended to highlight Latina entrepreneurs, the post garnered thousands of comments, with many users expressing dissatisfaction.

“I feel so sorry, Jessica has lost her mind,” one person commented, criticizing Alba, whose celebrity net worth is $100 million.

Many Instagram users, particularly critics of Kamala Harris and Republican supporters, condemned the video as a “train wreck” and a “desperate move," as the New York Post noted.

One user noted, “This is soo desperate, and Jessica Alba standing there looking lost doesn’t help.” Another added, "Embarrassed for you Jessica"

Others pointed out how Alba, 43, appeared “uncomfortable” in the exchange. “I can’t believe you believe Harris’s BS!” another wrote, expressing disbelief at Alba’s apparent support.

A few fans even threatened to boycott Alba’s company, Honest Co, in protest of her support for the Vice President.

“Never buying Honest products again because of your support for this woman and the damage she has done to our country,” wrote one frustrated commenter.

Several fans said they won't follow her anymore. "Sorry I have to stop following you now," wrote one. "This is disappointing and disturbing…" wrote another.

Kamala Harris also faces backlash over video with Jessica Alba

While Jessica Alba faced her share of criticism, Kamala Harris wasn’t spared either.

One Instagram user remarked, "I'm gonna stick with the man dodging bullets, not the woman dodging interviews," clearly referring to Harris’ political career.

“True Latinos would never vote Democrat,” another said, echoing the sentiments of many who criticized Harris' policies.

Another comment read, “No thank you, I’m Latina and I’m not voting for her,” further adding to the criticism aimed at Harris.

Some even labeled her “the Queen of word salad,” while others felt that the video wasn’t an effective outreach to the Latino community.
