Pam Bondi wrote on X that the 'Turtle Island Liberation Front', a “far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist group” was preparing a series of bomb attacks in multiple locations in California starting New Year’s Eve.

“The group also planned to target ICE agents and vehicles,” she wrote.

The Attorney General praised the DOJ and the FBI for ensuring that Americans could “live in peace” and said that they would continue to pursue “these t****r groups” and bring them to justice.

Kash Patel also took to X to address the situation and said that the FBI had disrupted a “credible, imminent t***orist threat” and arrested four individuals around Los Angeles over the weekend.

However, since then, the FBI in New Orleans has arrested another individual who is “believed to be linked” to the “radical TILF subgroup” but was allegedly planning a separate attack.

Bill Essayli discloses planned attack details at press conference

The FBI conducted a press conference on Monday, during which they revealed details about the planned attack.

Bill Essayli said that in November 2025, “defendant Carroll” created a detailed bombing plot to use explosive devices to attack “five or more locations” across Southern California.

He added that Carroll and the co-defendant Zachary Page led the efforts to build IEDs, acquire materials, and recruit others to conduct the attack.

He added that Carroll’s “bomb plot” included a step-by-step bomb making tutorial and listed targets in Orange County and Los Angeles.

Bill Essayli said that the defendant had made her desires clear, noting that they knew what they were doing and that they were aware it would be “considered a t***orist act.”

The Assistant United States attorney added that the co-defendants discussed follow-up attacks after the attacks meant to take place on New Year's Eve and said that they planned to target ICE Agents and vehicles with “pipe bombs” to “take some of them out and scare the rest.”
