BOCA RATON, FLORIDA: A Florida nurse reportedly lost her job after a video of her making brutal comments targeted toward Karoline Leavitt went viral.

The nurse has been identified as Alexis “Lexie” Lawler, who worked at Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Boca Raton, Florida.

The former labor and delivery nurse said in a TikTok video, “It gives me great joy to wish Karoline Leavitt a fourth-degree tear.”

Lawler also added that she hopes the White House press secretary “rip from bow to stern and never s**t normally again, you c**t.”

Leavitt had announced in December 2025 that she would soon become a mother for the second time.

Her and her husband Nicholas Riccio’s second child, a daughter, will arrive in May 2026. The press secretary called it the “greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for.”

The 28-year-old is already the mother of a son named Niko, who was born on July 10, 2024.

Hospital says ex-nurse's comments 'do not reflect our values'

Meanwhile, Patty Abril, director of media relations and strategic communications at Baptist Health, addressing Lawler’s remarks, said, “The comments made in a social media video by a nurse at one of our facilities do not reflect our values or the standards we expect of healthcare professionals.”

“Following a prompt review, the individual is no longer employed by our health system,” Abril added.

Abril, however, mentioned that they “respect the right to personal opinions, there is no place in healthcare for language or behavior that calls into question a caregiver’s ability to provide compassionate, unbiased care.”

Boca Raton mayor slams nurse's 'disgusting comments'

Besides, Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer said on Thursday, January 22, that he’s “in touch with hospital leadership as soon as I learned this afternoon and have been informed that this person is no longer employed there.”

He also noted that the “disgusting comments have no place in medicine or in our community.”

However, Attorney Michelle Suskauer, who is not related to the case, has questioned the termination of Lawler.

He shared, “It's going to be a question of if this former employee is going to fight her termination, and she very well might, and we may see this in the courts. Absolutely, it's a First Amendment discussion and we saw this as well with Charlie Kirk.”

“We're dealing with a political climate that is very, very hot. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the temperature is going to be going down," Suskauer added.
