LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: The host of Fox News' 'Outnumbered' showered former president Donald Trump with praise following a glitch with his teleprompter during his recent campaign rally in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The show's host lauded Trump's impromptu remarks, portraying them as emblematic of the average American experience.

Donald Trump's unscripted rant during Las Vegas rally

During the Sunday, June 9, 2024, rally, Donald Trump veered off-script, delivering unscripted remarks that ranged from a rant about electrocution and sharks to labeling the January 6 Capitol building rioters as "warriors" who were allegedly set up by law enforcement. He also displayed indifference towards potential voters enduring extreme heat, Mediaite reported.

'Outnumbered' host Emily Compagno was particularly effusive in her praise for the former POTUS, suggesting that Trump's handling of the situation made him appear authentically American. She remarked, "I think [he] actually handled it with aplomb," painting Trump as a relatable figure.

In a moment of frustration, Trump publicly criticized the prompter crew and even threatened to withhold payment from them.

Media mockery and Donald Trump's 'normalcy'

The discussion on the show also took a jab at media responses to Donald Trump's unconventional speech, taking time to mock President Joe Biden's teleprompter mishaps.

Compagno asserted that Trump's unscripted moment revealed his true nature as an ordinary American, contrasting it with what she perceived as biased media coverage favoring Biden.

"Bottom line, that moment by Trump, as you said, I love this, and it showed us who he is. He’s a normal, average American. He did great without the teleprompter! And what we saw play out, that was state TV, right? That’s everyone getting in line and making sure, 'Nothing to see here. Guys, you didn’t see anything. Biden’s the best.'“

Compagno wrapped up the segment by humorously admitting, "I don’t sound half as good as Trump does without a teleprompter!"

Internet mocks Donald Trump's speech fail

After the Fox News host praised Donald Trump and called him an 'average American', readers brutally mocked the former president online.

One wrote, "Trump looked like a complete fool and idiot during that speech which he is."

Another said, "Teleprompter worked. Trump just looking for a way out of paying contractors as usual."

One person replied, "If you want to know how bad a Trump speech was, just watch how hard Fox tries to spin it."

Another commented, "Normal people don't have 34 felony convictions on their record."

One individual said, "Only a deranged neonazi would see Trump as normal."

Another person added, ""I got no teleprompter."He speaks like a 9th grade hillbilly when the teleprompter breaks.
