LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: A Las Vegas father, Eddi Moreno Jr, 32, is facing charges of open murder with a deadly weapon after allegedly shooting his neighbor, Joe Moreno, who he claims exposed himself in front of his children.

The incident took place on a Monday, May 13 evening with police determining they were neighbors.

Eddi Moreno Jr accuses Joe Moreno of indecent exposure

Eddi, his wife, and their children had just returned home from their daughter’s soccer game when they found Joe Moreno, 47, near their property.

Joe’s girlfriend had locked him out of their house following an argument. Eddi’s wife told police that her husband had retrieved a gun from a backpack, exited their vehicle, and confronted Joe, accusing him of breaking into their house.

Joe then exposed himself and “began thrusting towards,” Eddi's wife, said the Police, according to Fox News

Eddi's wife then called 911 asking, “I need police here right now," according to an audio obtained by 8 News Now.

She relayed to the dispatcher that Joe “keeps on” exposing himself “in front of all my kids.”

Before describing the perverted gestures of Joe, the 911 call picked up “several gunshots,” according to the report.

“My husband shot him,” Eddi’s wife said, according to the audio. “You better come quick.”

First responders found Joe bleeding in his driveway, and he ultimately died in an area hospital from multiple gunshot wounds. The Clark County Coroner’s office ruled his death a homicide.

Eddi told police that Joe had been looking over their wall into his backyard and that Joe had made threats toward him, though police disputed these claims in their report.

Eddi said he had warned Joe that he would shoot if Joe came toward him and that he “came towards [Eddi] while reaching in his pants and [Eddi] shot the male.”

Joe Moreno and Eddi Moreno Jr were neighbors

During a news conference Monday night, LVMPD Lt Jason Johannson indicated the men were neighbors

Following the shooting, Eddi is heard on the doorbell camera saying, “That’s what he gets. He’s not going to do that in front of my kids. Are you crazy?”

Eddi appeared before a judge Thursday morning when bail was set at $100,000.

The judge instructed Eddi not to interact with Joe’s girlfriend and prohibited him from having firearms on his property, to which he responded, "Yes ma'am."

He’s currently out of jail, according to inmate records. His next court date is scheduled for August 13.
