NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Michigan's Supreme Court reportedly dismissed efforts to prevent former President Donald Trump's inclusion on the 2024 primary ballot, affirming a lower court's decision.

This differs from Colorado, where a recent ruling excluded Trump based on the "insurrectionist ban" under the 14th Amendment.

In both instances, Trump's removal was sought through this constitutional provision.

Following this news, Fox News host Laura Ingraham took to X (formerly Twitter) and took a brutal jab at the Democrats.

Unfortunately, Ingraham did not receive positive support from the internet as several X users brutally slammed the Fox News host.

Laura Ingraham claims ‘Democrats loathe representative democracy’

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham took to X and wrote, “Democrats actually loathe representative democracy.”

Ingraham’s tweet featured an article from Axios titled, “Michigan Supreme Court rejects bid to remove Trump from 2024 primary ballot.”

In the article, it was stated that the Michigan Supreme Court has rejected an attempt to remove Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 Republican primary ballot.

This came following Trump’s recent removal from the Colorado ballot sought via a section of the US Constitution/ 14th Amendment, ‘insurrectionist ban.’

The Michigan court clarified that there is no provision in Michigan Election Law mandating presidential candidates to “attest to their legal qualification to hold the office.”

The decision aligns with rulings from lower courts, emphasizing that Michigan's judicial system is not tasked with determining a candidate's eligibility for the ballot.

The panel of three Michigan Court of Appeals judges wrote in their ruling, “At the moment, the only event about to occur is the presidential primary election. But as explained, whether Trump is disqualified is irrelevant to his placement on that particular ballot.”

Internet slams Laura Ingraham for mocking democrats

After Laura Ingraham called out democrats for loathing representative democracy, several X users slammed the news anchor.

One person wrote, “Says the team that tried to overturn a democratic election,” and another said, “I loathe you.”

An X user simply mocked Ingraham adding, “Your projection is amazing,” and another said, “Democrats actually just loathe TRAITORS to the Constitution and the people who support them like yourself.  That is all...”

One more person slammed Ingraham, “Meanwhile in Laura's world she's all for a dictator pathetic.”

Another took a jab at the host, “Democrats actually loathe anti-democratic Laura Ingraham.”
