Fox News' Shannon Bream advises Harris to not 'change anything' about her media strategy amid criticism
WASHINGTON, DC: On a recent episode of 'The Five', Fox News anchor Shannon Bream defended Vice President Kamala Harris’s minimal media presence, arguing that the approach is proving effective for her emerging campaign.
According to Mediaite, the discussion arose after Bream’s co-hosts, Jesse Watters and Judge Jeanine Pirro, criticized Harris for her limited engagement with the press.

Jeanine Pirro highlighted that, weeks into Harris’s campaign, the vice president had only spent slightly over 70 seconds interacting with reporters.
She also pointed out that Harris’ campaign website currently lacks substantial policy discussions.
Harold Ford Jr agreed with Pirro’s critique, noting that Harris had not yet provided significant details about her 2024 campaign. However, he countered by mentioning that former President Donald Trump’s campaign was performing even worse.
Pirro responded by asserting, “The truth is, Shannon, that the president talks about issues unlike what Harold is representing. He talks about the border, he talks about the economy, he talks about crime, he talks about what’s going on in the Middle East.”
She suggested that Trump was more effectively reaching voters compared to Harris.
Shannon Bream defends Harris' campaign strategy
Shannon Bream replied by explaining that Harris’s campaign strategy seemed focused on establishing a clear contrast with Trump rather than delving into policy specifics at this early stage.

She noted, “I think their number one goal so far, the message has been is, ‘We’re not Trump.’ We are not getting into policy yet and it’s not on the website and they haven’t done the interviews and they’re really not talking about the minutia of policy on the campaign trail. It is as [Watters] said, it’s joyful, they’re happy warriors, and you know, look at this team go. So how long does the honeymoon last?”
Bream continued, “She said by the end of the month. So, a month after becoming the nominee maybe we’ll have a sit-down interview from her. In the meantime, if I’m advising her, I say just keep doing this, it’s working. You have an adoring media, you have people who are not pressing you on what appear to be changes in positions and those kinds of things."
She added, "It may be the debate is the first time that they get to that. But in the meantime, I wouldn’t change anything if I was her. It’s working. Her unfavorables are down, her favorables are up 12 points since she was named to the ticket. So why change it if it’s working?”
