NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Donald Trump and his supporters criticized Fox News' Shannon Bream, accusing her of being "anti-MAGA" following an interview with lawyer Alina Habba.

On May 29, Habba, renowned for vigorously advocating for Trump in legal matters, asserted to the host that the trial concerning Trump's hush money was orchestrated by Joe Biden, arguing, "This trial is clearly a Biden show because he needs to divert the attention of the American people."

Shannon Bream and Alina Habba clash over political motives behind Trump trial

Bream countered Habba's claims by pointing out that the trial took place in New York under the jurisdiction of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, and stated, "The Biden administration is not responsible for this trial."

Habba countered by alleging that several New York state prosecutors were recorded in the visitor logs of the White House, insinuating a potential connection between them and the Biden administration.

"The feds passed on these cases, is the point I'm making," Bream replied.

Habba persisted in her stance, asserting that Democrats ranging from Bragg to Robert de Niro, who made an appearance at the trial this week, were leveraging it for political advantage.

However, as per Newsweek, Former President Trump criticized Bream in a post on Truth Social on the night of May 27, prior to the verdict.

Trump wrote, "I never knew Shannon Bream was so 'naïve.' In her interview with my Representative, Alina Habba, Shannon just suggested that Crooked Joe Biden was not involved in my Show Trial. HOW STUPID! Not only is he involved, he is virtually leading it, and all of the other Trials as well - Meaning, his people, because he's not mentally sharp enough to lead anything!" [sic]

"Just take a look at the DOJ/White House Thugs involved, and everything else. Biden is incompetent, and feels that Weaponization is the only way he can win. He's counting on the Shannon Breams of the World to get him there," Trump added. "Bad day for Shannon!"

Reportedly, Trump is expected to be the Republican nominee for the presidential race and is positioned to challenge Joe Biden in the upcoming November election.

The verdict has the potential to significantly impact the 2024 White House race and could represent a moment of historical significance in the United States.

Each of the charges against Trump carries a maximum possible sentence of up to four years in prison, according to reports.

Bream faces severe backlash for her anti-Trump stance

After the interview aired, numerous staunch supporters of Trump on platform X expressed intense anger towards Bream.

A particular viewer expressed, "Shannon is trying to claim that this trial isn’t political, what a shill."

Following suit, another observer added, "Shannon is extremely naive to think the Democrats aren't involved in these indictments. It's so patently obvious that they are."

Additionally, a viewer pointed out, "She knows. I don't think she's a Trump fan, and she's allowed to not be a Trump supporter even if she does work for Fox. However, I think that she gave the lawyer an excellent chance to pushback and it was a respectful exchange so it was better than other networks." [sic]

A follower said, "She’s lost. Lost."
