WASHINGTON, DC: Former swimmer Riley Gaines was critical of Vice President Kamala Harris for staying quiet over the Olympic boxing gender row and added that she represents a "vote against your daughter's future."

Algerian boxer Imane Khelif faced controversy after being given the green signal to compete in the women's category at the 2024 Paris Olympics despite questions over her gender. She was removed from the 2023 world championships after allegedly failing tests that proved she has male XY chromosomes.

Riley Gaines said during Fox News' 'Jesse Waters Primetime' show, "Crickets from Kamala, crickets from the women at 'The View'. And if I could implore you, a vote for Kamala is a vote against your daughter’s future."

She added, "I see lots of people on social media saying they’ll be voting for Kamala because she is a woman. Well, let me tell you, Jesse, I will be voting for Trump because I am a woman."

Gaines also supported Italian boxer Angela Carini who abandoned her bout against against Khelif after just 46 seconds. Khelif was further criticized after this decision by Carini.

On August 1, Gaines posted a video on X of Khelif battering Carini into submission and captioned it, "Call me crazy, but It's almost as if women don't want to be punched in the face by a male as the world watches and applauds. This is glorified male violence against women."

Apart from Khelif, Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu-Ting was also allowed to compete at the Olympics despite being disqualified from the 2023 World Championships for failing the same tests.

A person also stated, "We have to ensure fair opportunity and competition for our daughters and for women of this Country! Don’t let radical women and men steal their opportunities! Riley is spot on here!" whereas one mentioned, "It's funny how all of a sudden, the Democrat Party knows what a woman is. Or when we need an abortion."

A user said, "Voting for Trump because my Mom, Wife and daughter are 'Women'! " while one wrote, "Ironically a vote for Kamala is the ruination of women."

Is a vote for #communism. Its a joke. Children and woman are their target!"
