WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy blamed Cracker Barrel’s “woke” rebranding for President Donald Trump’s decision to deploy National Guard troops to Democratic-run cities while defending his plan to send troops to Chicago.

She criticized the city’s rising crime and called its mayor “incompetent,” comparing Chicago’s situation to Washington, DC, where the National Guard’s arrival reportedly reduced crime.

This comes as Trump faces accusations of “abusing his power” and “manufacturing a crisis” over his plans to deploy National Guard troops to Chicago.

On Sunday’s episode of 'Fox and Friends', Rachel Campos-Duffy, wife of Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, defended Donald Trump’s decision, calling the National Guard deployment “customer service.”

She said, “I think about why Donald Trump was elected, and I think a big part of why he was elected is because he’s a businessman and he understands what the customers want.”

Campos-Duffy suggested that Chicago residents would want the same level of attention as Washington, DC, “if the mayor of Chicago or the governor of Chicago actually talked to the citizens.”

She asked, “Since we can’t do it, would you like Donald Trump to come in here and clean up the crime and make sure there’s no murders just like they’re doing in DC?”

Contributor Griff Jenkins pointed to DC’s declining murder rate as proof of Trump’s successful crime crackdown. “They’ve had nine straight days in DC now with zero murders,” he said. “Chicago can’t say that.”

Rachel Campos-Duffy claimed that residents on Chicago’s south side, who suffer most from ineffective policies, would "support" a military intervention.

She further criticized liberal leaders for ignoring the voices of their constituents, linking this disconnect to the backlash over Cracker Barrel’s logo redesign.

The 53-year-old argued, “Would people have wanted the restaurant’s old-timey feel to disappear? No, they wouldn’t.” Additionally, she said, “If the CEO of Target asked customers whether they wanted trans bathing suits for kids displayed at the store entrance, the customers would have said no.”

Internet trolls Rachel Campos-Duffy as she links Cracker Barrel to Trump's federal crackdown

After the Fox News host bizarrely blamed Cracker Barrel’s logo revamp for Trump’s military takeover, many internet users quickly took to social media to mock her comments.

One user wrote, “I wonder, when their show ends, do they fall on the floor and laugh?” Another slammed her by saying, “These people give crazy a new meaning!!!!”

Another user commented, “They are afraid of people who think for themselves, of people who know right from wrong and listen to their conscience, who learn from their mistakes, and have a will of their own and aren't afraid to speak their mind, or dress different, or act different, or look different. We are our best selves, and that scares them.”

A Facebook user added, “They are freaking nuts!” Others mocked further: “How do you make that connection? These people are nuts, I mean literally insane!”

One person said, “She is nuts but she is playing to her Fox audience.” Another joked, “Send troops to Fox News to shut them down.”
