'The Big Bang Theory' star Kaley Cuoco shares rare photos from baby shower ft three-year-old daughter

The couple announced in June 2026 that they were expecting their second baby together and revealed that they were having a girl. The news came nearly two years after Cuoco and Pelphrey announced their engagement in August 2024, when she shared a selfie showing off her new ring and wrote, “Amazing weekend.”

Matilda was seen enjoying a slice of cake during the family celebration, sitting beside a colorful tiered cake and appearing delighted by the sweet treat. In September 2024, Kaley Cuoco spoke with PEOPLE about the possibility of expanding her family with Tom Pelphrey. At the time, the couple said they were in no rush to get married and were open to welcoming another baby before tying the knot. “We’re gonna go way out of order. That’s our plan,” Cuoco said.

Matilda was all smiles as she posed beside the colorful baby shower cake, adding a sweet family moment to the celebration. She appeared prepared to welcome her baby sister alongside her parents. Cuoco also shared that Matilda has a fascination with aeroplanes, monster trucks and helicopters, saying “anything in the sky she thinks is the most amazing thing.” Matilda also loves horses, giving her plenty of interests to keep her busy as the family prepares to welcome another baby.

Kaley Cuoco's friend, actress Amy Davidson, also attended the event. The latter shared a sweet selfie to her Instagram Stories with the message, “Can’t wait to meet baby girl Pelphrey! Love you Kaleys,” adding to the warm wishes surrounding the baby's arrival. Cuoco later reposted the photo to her Instagram story. The duo are close friends and former co-stars, having famously played on-screen sisters Bridget and Kerry Hennessy on the hit ABC sitcom '8 Simple Rules' from 2002 to 2005. Their enduring friendship has continued long after the show ended.

Kaley Cuoco and Julia Schlaepfer were also seen together in a sweet Instagram Stories snapshot, with Cuoco reposting the photo featuring the two colleagues posing side by side during the baby shower event. Schlaepfer is also set to star with Cuoco in HBO Max’s upcoming drama series 'How to Survive Without Me.' The project began filming in Los Angeles in May 2026 and has not yet premiered.
