Oasis brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher make rare joint red carpet appearance at 2026 Venice Film Festival

Liam and Noel Gallagher, the founders of Oasis, brought their signature rockstar energy to the Venice Film Festival for the world premiere of their new documentary, 'Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger.' The brothers walked the red carpet together, marking another memorable appearance following Oasis’ reunion. Both opted for stylish all-black outfits, with 53-year-old Liam adding retro-inspired sunglasses and white sneakers, while 59-year-old Noel completed his look with classic black lace-up shoes.

The brothers, Liam and Noel Gallagher, were seen in high spirits as they raised their joined hands in the air. Oasis announced their reunion tour in August 2024, nearly 15 years after the Gallagher brothers famously split in 2009 following a reported backstage argument at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. “The guns have fallen silent. It will not be televised,” Oasis said in a statement announcing the reunion tour. “This is it, this is happening,” the band added in an Instagram post teasing their long-awaited return.

Noel previously reflected on the success of Oasis’ 2025 reunion shows while backstage at the BRIT Awards in February, where he won Songwriter of the Year. Looking back on the band’s return, he said the gigs were “better than the ‘90s” and called performing with Liam “the most incredible thing that any of us have ever done,” as per People Magazine. He also described the reunion as a “pretty mad” experience, saying they “loved every minute and every second of it.” While Noel said all the shows “were amazing,” he singled out the band’s hometown concerts in Manchester as particularly memorable, admitting he was “kind of lost for words” and that “the gigs spoke for themselves.”

The Gallagher brothers also appeared to share a hug on the red carpet before it was reported that they skipped the morning press conference for the film. However, their appearance inside the Sala Grande added to the anticipation surrounding the premiere, especially as the film features their first joint interview in more than two decades. Following the documentary’s two-hour runtime, the audience erupted into cheers and gave the film an eight-minute standing ovation. The crowd also loudly sang along to Oasis’ hit 'Champagne Supernova' during the finale, while moments highlighting Liam and Noel’s reconciliation drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.
