Prince William shared a warm embrace with Kate Middleton during the trophy presentation after the charity polo match. Standing close beside William, she smiled brightly at the cameras with one hand resting gently behind his back and the other relaxed by her side.

The couple shared a similar moment after the 2023 polo match, making this year's embrace another affectionate moment in the spotlight. Friday's event also proved to be a major fundraising success, with just over £1 million reportedly raised during the day. The annual Royal Charity Polo Cup supports charities and causes championed by William and Kate, with this year's event expected to generate more than $20 million in total.

This year's Royal Charity Polo Cup marked Prince William's 15th appearance in the annual fundraising match, while it was Princess Kate's first time attending since 2023. A familiar face at the event over the years, the Princess of Wales skipped the past two editions as she underwent cancer treatment and recovery. William recently shared an emotional update on her health during a May 2026 interview on Heart Breakfast, calling Kate "an amazing mum" and "an amazing wife." He added that he was "incredibly proud" of her resilience as she gradually resumed her royal duties and returned to overseas travel.

The Princess of Wales and her husband of 15 years also held hands as they walked away from the cameras, making Kate's return to the event even more special. When Kate Middleton announced in January 2025 that she was in remission, she acknowledged that recovering from cancer meant adjusting to a "new normal" while expressing optimism about the future. "There is much to look forward to," the Princess of Wales said, adding, "I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead." Last month, she revealed that she had secretly completed Britain's National Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the country's three highest mountains in under 24 hours to highlight life after a cancer diagnosis and raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
