Taylor Swift attends Academy Museum Gala in Cinderella gown with surprising link to her wedding

For her first-ever appearance at the Academy of Museum Gala, Swift opted for a pale blue ball gown from Dior. The chiffon dress featured an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline, pleated tulle with a flared bottom and a sparkling silver crystal-embellished bow attached at the front. The outfit gave the singer a fairytale-like prom beauty look. The pop icon seemingly channeled Cinderella through her overall fit and appeared to look like a live-action version of the Disney princess.

The ‘Love Story’ hitmaker accessorized her look with Chopard jewelry, which consisted of platinum chandelier earrings with approximately 32 carats of diamonds, a 5-carat diamond bracelet and a 5.7-carat diamond ring. Swift avoided a necklace and let the minimalist accessories shine. Additionally, she also wore her wedding band and her engagement ring by Kindred Lubeck. 

The connection between Swift’s wedding outfit and Academy of Museum Gala costume was established through the designer. Jonathan Anderson, who curated Swift’s custom Christian Dior piece for the latest event, also designed the gown she wore for her lavish wedding to Travis Kelce. The gala outfit marked Swift’s first major red carpet look from the designer. The latest dress expanded elements from Anderson’s spring-summer 2027 runway collection. As fans are yet to see a glimpse of Swift’s wedding dress, the gala outfit offered fans an idea of how Swift looked in Anderson’s work. For those unaware, the designer was also behind Kelce’s suit for the wedding.

Swift’s longtime stylist, Joseph Cassell, styled her for the evening. The ‘Midnights’ creator kept her appearance classy, sporting classic winged eyeliner, a neutral lip color, and soft glam makeup. Her hair resembled the vintage era with soft curls and a half-updo, exuding old Hollywood charm.

The pop star not only channeled Cinderella through her outfit but became the bell of the ball in the truest send. She made a mark with her glamorous red carpet appearance and went on to deliver a remarkable performance, which consisted of songs like ‘Love Story,’ ‘The Fate of Ophelia,’ ‘Blank Space,’ and her latest ‘Toy Story 5’ track ‘I Knew It, I Knew You.’
