KEOKUK, IOWA: The 2024 Iowa Republican Presidential caucuses will begin on January 15, and ahead of that, former President Donald Trump and his supporters, such as Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, have been rallying for him across the state.

Greene shared a clip of herself speaking at one of the recent events for Trump on X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote about “Bidenflation,” claiming that it was “out of control.” However, people on the social media platform were not on the same page as Greene, as she drew some backlash online.

Marjorie Taylor Greene takes the stage in Iowa

In Iowa, Marjorie Taylor Greene rallied for former President Donald Trump as the presidential election year began, and more importantly, the Iowa caucuses edged closer.

On X, Greene shared a clip of herself on stage and wrote, “There are no amount of lies that Democrats and the media can tell that are going to convince people that they have more money in their wallet!”

She added, “Bidenflation is out of control! Americans want President Trump and $1.75 gas again!!”

In the clip, Greene said, “There is no amount of lies that the media can say or ‘Morning Joe’, and MSNBC, and the nasty women on ‘The View’, and Jimmy Kimmel on his Late Night show that nobody wants to watch. There is no amount of lies they can tell, that is going to convince people that they actually have more money in their wallet, am I right?”

“Cause inflation does not lie,” said Greene and continued, “Those prices at the grocery store, those prices you have to pay for gasoline and diesel fuel…Oh wait, they don’t want you to have gas or diesel fuel, you people are supposed to buy electric vehicles.”

In her speech, Greene also mentioned climate change, and how under Donald Trump, “our dollar went a lot further than it barely goes anywhere right now.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene faces backlash online

After Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a part of her speech during her rally for Donald Trump in Iowa, while mentioning “Bidenflation” in her post, the internet’s response was prompt.

One user wrote, “Who are you kidding this Country didn't want Trump in 2020 and we will remind him in 2024," and another wrote, "Gas was only that cheap because of Covid. Less demand brought prices down. BTW, it was never 1.75 throughout the country."

"$1.75 gasoline won't happen again without another pandemic. Not a great trade off," added another person. One comment also asked, "So, you want to go back into lockdown where there's no where to drive? That'll get the price back down."

People continued to shut Greene down on X as one user wrote, "OMG YOUR FREAKING VOICE It's so shrill and ear piercing!" and another simply wrote, "Gaslighter."
