LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: California Governor Gavin Newsom tried to imitate former President Joe Biden on Wednesday, August 20, as he threatened to punch President Donald Trump and the Republicans "in the mouth."

The 57-year-old has recently taken several jibes at Trump and his supporters on social media by trying to mimic the MAGA leader's style of social media posts, including typing in all-caps and using the same phrases that Trump uses.

Gavin Newsom dubs Trump an 'invasive species' for taking over the GOP

During an appearance on 'The Siren Podcast' on Wednesday, Gavin Newsom made his threat to Donald Trump to the approval of the liberal hosts of the show.

The California governor said, "This guy’s not screwing around. He’s not. I mean, this is a guy who literally celebrated the fact that, well, Putin himself said, sir, you know, mail-in balloting is, that’s not a, that’s not a, that’s not a — I mean, this is a guy who’s rigged all his elections, Putin, giving advice to Trump. Trump took it."

"I mean, what more sensibilities you need? And I say this to Republicans out there. I pray you pay attention to what’s going on. This is not about, he doesn’t care about the Republican Party. He took it over. He’s an invasive species. The Republican Party, it doesn’t even reflect itself. I mean, look at these Republicans cowering to this guy," he added.

Newsom further mentioned, "Look at your Republican governor [Texas Governor Greg Abbott], used to claim to be a conservative. What a farce. Nothing conservative about this. I mean, by definition, nothing conservative about this. This is radical rigging of a midterm election, radical rigging of an election, destroying, vandalizing this democracy. the rule of law."

"So I’m sorry. I know some people’s sensibilities. I respect and appreciate that. But right now, with all due respect, we’re walking down a damn different path. We’re fighting fire with fire. I’m going to punch these sons of b***hes in the mouth," he said.

The host JoJoFromJerz said, "Oh, amen to that."

Interestingly, Biden had frequently said that he would beat up Trump, but later expressed regret for having done so.

During the podcast, Newsom added that the POTUS was using "Putin’s playbook" and "militarizing American cities" by using the National Guard and the Marines in Los Angeles to stop rioting and violent crime.

Internet mocks Gavin Newsom as he threatens to 'punch' Trump

Several internet users ridiculed Gavin Newsom as he tried to imitate Joe Biden and threatened to "punch" Donald Trump and the Republicans "in the mouth".

An X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, "There is no way he would ever win presidency," while one added, "It’s all a big performance. Meanwhile, adults are working."

A person said, "A real man can govern for all constituents without violence or name calling. You need a shrink and a different job."

"There is zero sincerity in these people they are trying so hard to find a play that will work," one said, while another quipped, "Don't be too scared, found a video of Newsom in the gym."

An individual scoffed, "They are so mad they are losing ground to truth and justice," whereas one more asked, "Is there anyone more despicable than Newsom?"
