NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Disgraced former congressman George Santos has hinted he could soon take the stage at a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event just days after President Donald Trump commuted his prison sentence.

Santos, who was serving seven years for fraud and identity theft, made the surprising announcement in an X (formerly Twitter) post on Friday, October 24, saying he planned to reach out to TPUSA to honor the memory of the group’s late founder, Charlie Kirk.

“I was thinking of going to support and honor the memory of Charlie Kirk!” George Santos wrote in response to a post about TPUSA’s AmericaFest 2025. “Now I’m going to ask my team to reach out and see if they need one more person to join the line up and make people mad.”

He praised several conservative figures who are scheduled to speak at the annual event, including Tucker Carlson, Jack Posobiec, and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, describing them as patriots who fight for their country and what they believe in every day.

“We need to unite and not divide and I’m sad to see that we have people whom seem to want to cause division. @TPUSA keep Charlie’s vision alive and well,” the former lawmaker added.

Posobiec, a far-right activist and media personality, reposted Santos’ message, writing, “God bless you, George. Let’s chat.”

Santos replied, “Will text you!” sparking speculation online that the two may soon appear together on a TPUSA panel.

Jack Posobiec emerges as a possible successor to Charlie Kirk

George Santos’ post comes just as Jack Posobiec gains increasing prominence in conservative circles following Charlie Kirk’s death. According to The Atlantic, Posobiec is viewed as the likely candidate to take Kirk’s place as the movement’s next leading voice, someone capable of reaching both Trump’s base and mainstream Republicans in Washington.

Santos’ apparent eagerness to join TPUSA’s next lineup adds another twist to his already dramatic post-prison chapter. The 35-year-old former New York congressman was expelled from Congress in 2023 following a damning ethics report and later pleaded guilty to multiple counts of fraud and identity theft, including stealing the identities of 11 people, some of whom were his own relatives.

George Santos thanks Trump for giving him a 'second chance at life'

Following his release, George Santos publicly thanked Donald Trump for commuting his sentence, calling it a “true second chance at life.”

“Yesterday, I was given something I never thought I’d have again: a true second chance at life. A chance to grow, to change, and to walk a better path,” Santos wrote on X on October 18.

In a separate post, he announced that he and his family planned to leave New York City, citing safety concerns if Zohran Mamdani were elected mayor.

“Sadly it seems that my family and I will be departing the city I’ve called home my entire life,” he wrote. “NYC will become a very dangerous place to live in if we elect mayor Mamdani.”
