GMA's Ike Ejiochi shares roundup of most exciting NFL games for the Christmas weekend
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The Christmas weekend is a major draw for football fans with three big games lined up over the holidays.
On the December 24 episode of 'Good Morning America', correspondent Ike Ejiochi discussed the NFL season, along with insights from ESPN Football Analyst Herm Edwards.
The NFL season is in its 16th week
Ejiochi reminded the GMA co-hosts of "just three more weeks of regular season of football" being left.
"This week, expect to see a little bit of everything," he stated, "From teams trying to play spoiler to even a possible Superbowl preview.'
In his report, the correspondent stated that only seven teams have been eliminated from the current NFL season thus far.
Why is this season of NFL more competitive?
"A lot of wild card spots are still open. So this is what makes this year such a competitive year, that in every division, for most parts, there are teams that are still fighting for wild card spots," explained Herm Edwards.

Which are the matches to look out for?
According to the report, the Cleveland Browns taking on the Houston Texans is a match to keep an eye out for.
Cleveland is leading the Texans by 1 game, while the latter will be without their rookie of the year QB, CJ Stroud.
The next major match is set to be played between the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins. The two highest-scoring teams in the NFL are going head-to-head at present.
"Dallas needs a win to get one step closer to winning the NFC East. Miami (is) in a similar position, looking for two in a row after their 30-0 last year against the New York Jets," reported Ejiochi.
However, the Christmas night match between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers is claimed to be the biggest of them all and is even being considered as a possible Super preview.
Both the teams have great quarterbacks, stated Edwards, adding, "They have top 5 offenses, and they both have top 5 defenses. And that is unique."
Although the Ravens are entering the match as underdogs, they are being taken as formidable opponents by the 49ers, as the team's running back Christian McCaffrey told GMA, "(Ravens) stand out on tape. They play fast, they are physical… they understand where to go in the passing lane. Very well rounded, they can do anything that you want them to do."
